Adam gets a call.

Looks like someone needs a ride

He checks the order for location and time and then grabs his stuff and heads out with a shout alerting his parents.

"Take a weapon with you just in case, please" his father says

Adam looks mildly afronted, but not offended. "Yeah. Always do."

"Ah, smart" he says and leaves it at that

And off he goes.

The pick up is...a sidhe, a teenage guy about his age. While his outfit is trendy youth to mortal eyes, to fae he's got a kind of Italian Court thing going on

Adam swallows and gets the guy's door for him. After settling back in his seat, he asks "Where to, sir?"

"You're a mannerly one" The fellow looks at him with dark piercing eyes

"Thank you, sir."

"But we're not at court. So, feel free to call me Eddie. I want to stop by an aparments... the Bachus Arms r something? Have you heard of it?"

"Yes, sir. I'll take you right there. Uh, Eddie. I'm Adam."

"Nice to meet you, Adam" he offers his hand, "I appreciate it. I have to say this is a great little service. Not everyone has wayfare and, heck, right now my car is totaled."

Adam shakes when it's offered. "Sorry to hear that. Anywhere in particular, at the Arms?"

Adam glances over, looking for colors or what he might recognize as House symbols.

"One I get there I'll be fine." the grip is firm, confident, but without trying to win some match "Sounds like you know about it though " Black and Silver

"I've been there a few times." He agrees.

"Seems like the landlord's pretty cool."

"Caesar Carolos? Famous too... I've never met him, but I once had a ring side seat. The guy's a beast in the ring, but said to be a soft touch out of it," Eddie nods, "Pretty clever this whole real estate angle. You're Sidhe blooded aren't you? I admit I'm surprised, not that there's kinain here, but I thought Sidhe were kind of a rarity in this barony"

"Yes sir, I am." Pleased that someone recognizes it. "I'm the only Sidhe-kinain in the Barony, that I know of. There are some in other Baronies nearby, though."

"I've heard, but this one is troll centric right? Absurdly large chairs, all that? Well, I know it's ruled by one anyway. I hear the apartment complex is more pooka and satyrs, that right?"

"As far as I've seen, yes." Adam answers politely.

"Well, I can work with that," he says "I find that part of the way to get by in our world is to show a little respect to each kith's ways, be ready to roll with it, but be careful not to type cast and offend." As they drive he looks about "This Barony is..well, I expected a lot more urban sprawl or just decay"

"The Chief is very into keeping it green."

"It works" He admits "Pity I won't likely be able to visit her and ask how she does it so well." They come into view of the apartment complex

"Why not?"

"I'm an Ailil, House Gwydion has sworn to drive my house into the sea. Do they mean it literally or metaphorically? Not sure. If she finds out an Ailil has been in town and wants to nose around, just tell her you did meet me. Truth is usually best with Gwydion, in the proper wrapper. Sir Cinuedu ap Ailil to be specific. If theres' another member of my House in the barony I haven't heard...and it's not like I live here. Otherwise I'd know it better. Thanks again, Adam. you seem a decent fellow. Dross or Cash?"

"Dross please, if it's all the same, Sir." Respectfully.

"Eddie is fine out of court," he reminds "And sure," he reaches into a pocket and pulls out a very old magic the gathering card which seems to shine nicely "That was a winning card at a tournament before of us was born."

"Thank you." He takes it carefully and puts it in his bag, protected, then gets the knight's door.

"Good job, got here quick" he steps out "And you're welcome. Safe travels to you, Adam." And he heads to the apartment door. Carrying himself like the world is his oyster.

Adam makes sure he gets in safe. Good service, after all. Not watching with a certain hunger, no, not at all.

He checks his phone automatically for fares before he pulls away.

Sure enough..another call

But it looks like Eden's on that one

"Mph." He sets the app to ping if he gets a fare, but otherwise, heads homeward.

As he drives homeward, he gets another Ping.

He checks it (hands free, of course!)

Looks like Myrtle Anne would like a lift

He shrugs; a fare's a fare. He heads off to the pick up point.

The Boggan woman gets in "Hello, Adam. how are things?"

"Good, thanks. You? Where to?"

"I'm doing all right, just doing a favor for someone" She says and gives an adress to another house in further suburbs "The Chief is letting me work with her garden, well, a section of it. Torin and I are reminding each other we're not dead yet, and the kids around here are cute and adorable. My 'shop' is mostly online. I do miss interacting with folks more face to face. "

A sigh. "I hear that."

"You're feeling it too huh? Yeah, something unnatural about keeping the youth cooped up like this. Necessary, I get it, but geez I will not blame you kids for going a bit nuts when it finally lifts fully. Frankly I'm expecing the lake is going to turn into a teenage mad house in a month or two... and hope you and your high school friends have fun"

A soft groan. "Me too."

A sympathetic noise "Wish there was something I could do to help you out. Dont you and Zane hang out a lot?"

"Yeah, guess so. Not the same as a Glo..... you know, a party or a club and stuff."

"A glow? " A curious look "This something no one over 25 is allowed to know of?"
