"Radical," Sylvi smiles as she follows Piper. "Thanks, Mrs. Wayburton. It was fun, but I was mostly relieved I didn't screw it up."

Another Eggo is ready

"If you did, you could fix it." She says with confidence. "You always look on-point. Coffee, tea?"

"Ummm.." Checking the fridge. "Milk... V-8?"

"I practice a lot. Just water for me, thanks."

"Water? With no caffeine in it?" She looks to the heavens for explanation. "Sure, though. "

Sylvi grins. "I can still take it or leave it, not mainlining the stuff like the grumps yet."

"i'm not responsible for my bad habits. I'm a victim of academia" The professor says enjoying his coffee

"me neither, I'm married to academia" Marsha Wayburton adds

"I got into the swing of it on a road trip. When everyone else is guzzling truck stop lattes, Big Burps or 6 Hour Go-Gos, you learn to stay awake too or you'll miss all the good chatter."

"Oh, trust me, I'll definitely turn to the sacred bean when it comes to all night crises of whatever variety...but sometimes water's jut right."

Zane comes in through the front door , still in the clothes he wore last night "it was incredible.. amazing.." He enters the kitchen area and hall everyone is in, taking the mug from his dad and drinking it "The most powerful renewal magics I've ever encountered... not quite GROWTH, that's the farm... this ..this is rebirth itself... it's so well named"

"Oh come on," The professor says

"So, what's the plan for today? I'm not really sure what all the patrols are for. I get the feeling it might depend on who's going. Like, Dirk might go out looking for trouble. I get the feeling you're more just getting a lay of the land and checking that all's quiet on the Eastern front?"

"Zane, we have a guest." She remarks pointedly, and to Sylvi, "Actually this is better. Otherwise he probably would have come downstairs in his boxers."

"Oh, sorry dad, hi Sylvi, mom... Pip....what happened to your head?" Zane asks

A blink at Zane's arrival, she waves to him. "Hey."

Her eyes widen and she POUTS, and appears to be contemplating a boot towards his rear. "You wanna rethink that before you're wearing your coffee? It IS hot."

Then to Piper, "Mostly I just treat it like a workout...with chance of monsters." An easy shrug.

"Oh, you did it on pur. .I mean.. it took me off guard is all" Zane says

A laugh, a bit nervous perhaps. "Not a BIG chance though, usually. Right?"

"SYLVI cut my hair." She says to Zane.

Lydia grabs Zane around the waist "I'll hold him for you, Piper."

"Not usually, no." Then she gives Zane a look.

"And it looks GREAT!" And she reaches over and swipes the coffee from Zane, and gives him a soft elbow with her other arm!

"Your hair's looking a little shaggy, Zane-o."

"Uncle C, I have quested at great peril and recovered your Elixer." Returning it to the Professor.

"ooff.. yes.. yes it does... " Zane says "And no, no Sylvi it does NOT ... " he touches his curly locks "Phoebe likes my hair thank you"

The professor says "Thank you, Niece P. Forgive my eldest's boorish behavior"

"Phoebe?" A raise of a brow.

"Kinian in Mexico, which has some bitching weather"

"Does it now." She remarks, dryly, and takes a sip of her own tea to hide the hint of a frown.

"I hear it's humid. Terrible for my hair." A shrug. "Rivervale is growing on me, I can get away with less product."

"Oh, you were down visiting Jessica? Mom or the Chieftain said you could use the trod? Or the Mountain?" Sylvi says it with the air of of course you did.

"All approved by nobles" He says and.. it's true "And it might be humid.. didn't feel too bad. Mostly I talked with the magicians there and with Phoebe wishing her luck for the great Troubadour try outs"

"The great what now?" Perked up.

"Troubadours, bards oh and jesters... the Countess court is lacking a lot of positions and they'ree going to official it. I think Jessica's heir is going to help with the voting. Cute kid"

"Troubadours? Huh....Didn't know Jessica would be into that, but...well, Countess, now."

"Really?" The professor says intrigued

Sylvi's eyes dart from Zane to the Professor as mention of the heir is made.

"Yeah, a big contest... musicial challenge, comedy challenge and.. well, bards are a bit more serious than both I'm sure" Zane says

"Oh... I'd love to see that." She says wistfully. "Not that I'd want to compete. As lovely as Tijuana sounds, it's still far too close to Ardent Harbor, even if it IS 500 miles down the coast." She says absently, sipping her tea and her head full of thoughts of such a grand gala.

"Soooo....Piper, maybe we should just get going." Sylvi seems suddenly eager.

"Heir? Jessica has an heir?" Marsha says

"Oh? Oh, yes, Patrol. I don't want to make you late." She dumps her tea in a to-go cup and grabs a sweater.

"Sidhe childling, Ellie... Countess Beaumayn. Adorable. About Lydia's age? I think"

Sylvi's already edging her way to the door. "Everybody have a good day!"

"Have fun you two" Marsha says "She's got a SIDHE childling? Oh my"

And she's trying to get out the door before the word sidhe sinks in with the professor....
