Didi gets some DUBIOUS looks from motel people but they're happy to stay 6 feet away from the woman.

"Frank, appreciate this. Now that we're just alone here and out of ear shot... you do know yo're tall and blue right?"

Frank nods. "I do know. You're going to forget most of this Didi, except maybe in your deepest dreams. But know that you have friends watching over you."

"There's a Denny's in the parking lot; anything you can't eat or don't like?"

"Oh, shoot.. oh well, dreams are nice" She says thoughtfully "You know, beggars can't be choosers so I'd be happy for anything as long as it didn't have Mayo on it. Oh, or too spicy. I LIKE spicy, but my stomach doesn't"

Frank nods. "I'll get some sandwiches, no mayo, and a couple platters, including some breakfast ones. Eat in any order you like, of course, and I'll try and find stuff that can travel, if you want."

"Meantime, you can shower up and... want me to see if I can get some clean clothes?"

"Look uhm.. Frank. You seem like the nicest big guy I've ever met but I keep wondering if there's a catch or if I'm robbing you. Night's rent, food, now clothes? I mean, yes I'm grateful for it all but.. it seems a hell of a lot for me just doing something decent for who I thought was a fellow bum"

Frank considers his answer before speaking.

"I understand your caution, and concern. Many aspects of this night are new to you; I regret that kindness and decency may be one of them.

She chuckles darkly at that

"Part of who, and what, I am is.... a caretaker of mort... of people. And, you have more than earned a little decency, Didi."

"Well, thanks. One thing I learned, when good things happen, don't spurn em, they ain't gonna hang around long anyway" Didi ponders then says "I'll take any clean clothes you can find."

Frank nods. "Alright. You settle in. I'll get the food." And he leaves to order to-go from Denny's and call Kerri for clothes; if she could maybe run them out? Hate to be a bother but.......

Sally Mae ends up running errands on that behalf.

"Thank you, Sally Mae." Frank says sincerely. "I owe you one."

"Hey, one of my edges is I handle the day to day best. No problem. Hope we got the sizes right but i went for things that were easy to adjust "

"Perfect." He gathers up a double armful of takeout bags. "I'll be home as soon as I can. SHouldn't be too much longer."

"Yeah, I've placed a call to Clem... told her since we always have more squash at the farm than we have demand would she mind dropping some by to a certain Shelter. I doubt they'll thank us for it, but they'll have fresh stuff to eat"

Frank's beard moves. "Well done, Sally Mae." He nods, and heads back to the motel room, where he knocks softly.

Didi says "Entre Vou or whatever"

Frank pokes his.... massive, shaggy, horned head... in. "Dinner. And breakfast. And clothes." He sets them inside.

Didi comes out with a hotel robe, she looks a lot better cleaned up, but the lifestyle has done it's damage and left it's mark along with time.

"Thanks. YOu tell me I won't remmeber all this? How am I gonna make sense of the clothes and everything?"

"Leave yourself a note." He suggests. "Something you'd believe."

"Good idea. Thanks. " She eyes him again, looking UP "You're more like a blue santa than a fairy god mother, you know that right?"

A deep rumble as he chuckles. "I'll take that, as a comparison. I've played Santa more than once. You have everything you need? There's some toiletries in with the clothes...."

"Yeah yeah, don't mother me too much, it'll just confuse me and make me have to remember more manners. You're a good man. You look after Adam and that Cambodian girl at the Shelter. Whatever happens after, for tonight, I'm good."

Frank nods. "I'll come back in the morning, if you want to hang around." He steps back from the door way (he never came in) and pauses. "And you're paid for two nights. Just in case." His beard moves in what might be a smile. "Good night." And he heads back down to the car.

"Night" She waves and when he's gone, she flops down on the bed I got to see the stars dance, and saved a young prince from a curse, and a big blue santa let me act like a fucking lady guest in ye olde inn. I won't remember it, but, that's okay. World's a bit less crap than I thought. Long as I can hold onto some part of that... well, it'll do.

And Frank gets home to his wife

Jaymes hands someone a bag of charcoal "On the house... get out"

"Roo?" Shop dog tilts his head to one side. Something is amiss.

Everyone is pushed ..guided out, things are closed so fast Connor's head spins.. .then he's scooped up

And put in the truck "Connor, it's Tove. She .. lodge. N eed to go. Now." Gunning it

"He hops into the backseat and sits up, hat straightened over his ears. "Another attacker?" He queaks in a scared voice.

"No no..." Jaymes says "Dagmar would deal with an attacker." Sure of it.

"Oh. The stairs? She dind't fall? Oh! I'll BITE those stairs if they tripped her!"

"Look, when we get there" he thinks of something for the boy to do "Towels, they're going to need clean towels. Okay?"

And they nearly drive a guy with another truck off the road. the other driver's own fault. He had balls on it.

"Towels, towels. Someone told me to be sure to bring a towel. I can do that...." He falls quiet, calculating something incalculable behind those puppydog eyes.

And they pull in...
