"Well, maybe that's a hint?" Clearly hopeful "Maybe that's something about.... you know, how I got here? I mean, my,uh, background?"

Adam laughs.

"Mom never talked about .... you know. My bio dad. But what if? I mean, what if he's why I'm kinain? That its not further back in my family, or his, somewhere but.... that close?"

"What if his colors were red and silver?"

She chews at her lip thoughtfully. "Could be. Fiona are the wild lovers, they probably do get around more so than the other houses. ...could someone do a cantrip to find out? Maybe something to peek into your past, or some sort of fate working? There has to be a way. Not as simple as with a Fae, but it really seems like Magick has an answer for most anything. Huh. I wonder if Zane's teacher might know. Or it might be a fun challenge if it doesn't exist yet..."

Adam's fingers keep stroking her back, leg, whatever's in reach. An absent, comforting touch as he thinks. "Thing is.... I don't want to know about him. Not... not -about- him. But ... I want ... I want to know about... "

"... what I am." he finishes weakly.

"You are whoever you make yourself to be." She answers firmly.

"Yeah. But -what- am I?"

"You are a Thomas, and a sidhe kinain. Maybe a Fiona sidhe kinain. And a wonderful boyfriend, and a good friend to Zane, and a caring lover. You are all these things and more... but if it means that much to you, then of course we can try to find out more. I'll help if I can..."

"Maybe. Not sure. I mean...." A sigh and he flops over on his back. "I don't want to hurt mom and dad. And maybe I don't -need- to know."

"If you want to know, or you feel you need to know... I get it, you know? I'm adopted. And.. it was my choice they gave me, when I was old enough to understand, whether I wanted to try to track down my birth parents. And, well, I didn't. But... I never met them. And they don't mean anything to me - my soul came from the dreaming, and my mortal body was raised by loving parents, so that's enough for me. But I DO understand wanting to know."

"Just... you know, if he was Fiona.... I mean, that's more than I've ever know about him. I don't know." A sigh.

"THey should be able to figure out THAT much, I'd imagine. I mean... remember those jerks who wanted to see your blood that time? Maybe they knew how to reverse engineer to find your heritage."

"Maybe if there's a sidhe you trust who you could ask if they know a way?" A pause and she offers, "Maybe someone from Siv's court?"

"I mean, Earthrunes. The high king might ACTUALLY rebel if Siv took over and the Kings started making a nationwide Dynasty...."
