"Pretty good stuff, too. You like ice cream?"

"Surely. Don't you?"

"Yeah! What's your favorite flavor?"

"I love Rocky Road. I know it's old but hey"

He grins brightly. "That's my favorite too!"

"Serious, or you just trying to flatter me?" But she smikels and looks intrigued

"Seriously! Damn, I wish it was open, we could get some....."

"Yeah" She says "Would be nice, but hey, sometime right?"

"Raincheck?" With a cocky grin.

"You got it" She offers an elbow bump with a grin

"Awsome. So, like, you're going to do distance learning out there now?"

"A little... but more for wwhen we got into the regular world. Mostly we home school"

"Guess we're all doing that now....."

"Yeah, but we're Lisenced and have been doing it for decades"

"What do you guys do out there for fun?"

"Well, as you might imagine, it's not known for video game marathons. We play some sports...those that like that. I'm not that physical, for a troll. Lots of chores keep us busy but for fun it varies. We sometimes have events and holidays and the like. We do have horses so we can ride. Farmsy outdoorsy, but there are card games and book reading ...and yes, some of us get online and chat with others our age"

"I play basketball." He grins. "Not so much against trolls, of course."

"Sally Mae doesn't date that much. Is that a family thing, like the Amish or whatever?"

"Oh she dated all the time. I guess it's more a college thing? And she went out with Lyron recently"

"Who?"

"Satyr from the Islands?"

Adam describes a satyr that -could- be Lyron. "Him?"

"Yup sounds like. I haven't met him bbut sounds like him"

"Huh, cool. What about you? Boyfriend?"

She shakes her head and blushes

A grin.

"Girlfriend?"

"NOoooo" She says stretching the word out and blushing more

"Damn........" he turns enough to obviously check her out.

"Heeeeeey" Faux protest

"What? You're pretty, and talented, and nice."

"Thanks..just, you know, been warned about you big city boys and your smooth talks"

"Shoot, I grew up in a mountain town, upstate New York. We only moved here during the summer. Bergen isn't a big city, really."

"Compared to our farm? It's a metropolis" She grins

"Well, maybe so......"

"Anyway...." he pulls up to a suburban house "This is my place. Did you still want to come in?"

"Sure..." She says "if it wont' be in the way?"

"Nah." He gets out and up the walk they go.

And the door opens, Lily stays in a plauge doctor mask, "Turn back...we are lost. save yourselves" a whisper

"Lily, don't be weird."

SHe takes off the helmet and stares at her brother "You are stunting my childhood imagination"

"You're -FAE.-"

"This is Kourtney. Mom and Dad here?"

"Still a childling" She says primly "And yes. "

Kourtney looks her over "mmm I may have to reccomend sunlight and the color pink to help your sister recover from her terrible illness"

Lily goes 'eep' and scrambles away up stairs

Kourtney grins

Adam grins. "Might have to steal that." He heads in and looks around (briefly) for his parents.

He finds his father working in his office. His mother in the living room

"Sorry, mom, didn't mean to interrupt you. Kourtney's here." he turns to go.
