"Oh she's a mixed up pup, but she's had a lot of loss. I still think she's gonna out grow this goth phase"

"There are worse things to be. She could be some sort of pachouli-smellin', free-love, veggie-munching hippie." A sly grin.

"You know Vegetarian was originally a Scandinavian word right?" She says

A surprised look. "Really? I thought all they ate was fish up there. And, like, fermented reindeer milk."

"Ikea meatballs..." Grin.

"Oh, wait. Swedish pancakes with lingonberry jam! That's my jam."

"Vegitarian comes from a Danish word meaning 'Bad Hunter'" She says with a straight face

A blink, and she sloooowly turns to Tove, and gives her a look - that lasts about 5 seconds before she breaks and laughs. "I heard of a guy back home named Hunter who went vegan. They started calling him "Gatherer"."

She laughs back "Seriously, if you have morals regarding animals, I respect that as long as you don't try to convert me. I actually admire the discipline" She pats the younger woman on the shoulder "And I make a pretty good tofu medly actually.. "

"It's like, one of my last vestiges to claiming to be a Cali hippie girl." A grin. "And if eating more vegetables ALSO means I can eat more cake, that's an added bonus. But yeah, I get it - what I put in my belly has nothing to do with what anyone else wants in theirs. Bacon IS delicious, I won't lie."

"Props to you. I'll keep my eyes out for bacon flavored kale and Tofu" The troll nods "And I think the world could use more cali hippi vegatarians if it means they're as nice as you are"

She turns a bit pink. "Aw, shucks. It's just hippie hospitality, is all. And you're easy to talk to."

"Well, we share a common interest. now Jaymes, Jaymes is an unrepetent Carnivore. And Dagmar..well, just never offer her okra"

A hand on her hip. "Fried okra is GOOD though! And you can't make gumbo without it. Though... technically you also can't make it without sausage, shrimp, maybe chicken..." A wistful sigh.

Tove gets an idea, "Interesting. I take it Fish is also off your menu since you mentioned Shrimp"

"Yeah, I've tried a few things that say they're "just like X Y or Z" but it's never quite right, so I normally just make things out of veg rather than try to approximate something else. I think I just miss my Ma's southern cooking. Auntie M is a peach, but she cooks.. very midwestern."

"Well, I can't promise Southern, that's not my gift " She says "Thyle had very bland food" Bland is said in the same tone most would reserve for 'defiled'

"But I do spices very well" She says

"Ugh, I don't dig bland either. Tofu is a flavor sponge, and too many people forget that and don't give it any. Meat comes with flavor, soy protein needs HELP."

"Exactly" she says

"Look, I don't normally intrude on folks lives.. but I need something to do or I'll go crazy. You go on, I'm going to make your family , well, the ones here, a big pot of Vegetarian Gumbo. No need to tell them it's Vegitarian if you don't want to. I'll have it dropped off tonight, and you give me your honest opinion on it. Don't worry, I live in the same county as Kerri Davidson, I've learned to settle for the bronze in culinary so you won't hurt my feelings"

"I'll have it dropped off tonight"

"Oh! Are you sure? I certainly won't say NO..." Her eyes lighting up.

"You'll be doing me a favor. I'm bored, I'm cooped up, and I never get to use Okra in this house"

A laugh. "If you say so! I'll be looking forward to it. And I can make rice to go with. Even I can't mess up rice.... with a rice maker.... more than once."

"Feel free if you want to tackle that part. " A smile

"Might be a little glamour in it, I am not above cheating"

Thoughtful. "Do you think we should see about having Jack over for dinner? He could use a few solid meals, not that I think there's any chance of him not getting them here. I'd like for him to get a chance to spend time with Satyrs, but not sure if it would be too much too soon."

"he's under Kerri and Sally Mae's roof, he's getting fed believe me... but if you mean invite him here? Sure he's welcome. If you mean at your AUnt and Uncles, you need to ask them. I think just leaving it as an open invitation won't spook him too much"

"I meant over to my place. Normally I'd ask his guardian, but I'm not... quite... sure who that is?"

"I don't think anyone is," Tove says honestly, "I mean, obviously anyone tryign to hurt the boy will have a whole lodge on him, but Jack seems very much reluctant to go backwards and that includes talking about parents. Maybe he doesn't remember"

"Well, I guess the Chief, Mountain or Hearth would all be good options then, because they rule this place and those in it more or less, so that makes them kinda everyone here's guardians."

"Ask the Chief and Mountain... those aree the two he talks about from what I've seen 'Chieftain Shacklebrekker and He-chief'"

A laugh at that. "WEll, I'll see if they're around. And look forward to that pot of gold."

"I hope you like it" She smiles "Shoo, go have fun while I see if I can live up to my boast"

A wave and she heads out!

And out she goes, Tove is easy to get along with, perhaps it's the common interest in music, maybe it's the fact Tove doesn't seem very judgmental by nature (Unless, of course, you are bland food), anyway she seemed glad for the company. Piper also is glad to have passed Twinkle on. If they can preserve the chimera, it could be come quite the repository of music, and that's a good thing.

Tove cooks up a storm, maybe it's the pregnancy, but she gets Gerd's witch urges at times like this "Boil boil, trouble and toil. " She practices a cackle
