Nadeen walks along the high school hallways, most don't see the real her, don't see the sword at her hip. But she's still a hot cheerleader with an Ice Princess vibe.

"Hey girl," One guy smiles, "Sup?"

She shrugs, just to show she answered and moves on.

As she gets something out of her locker, one boy just stares at her, his glasses fogging. He probably doesn't realize how creepy that is after a time, but then, she's hardly worried. If I yelled boo, he'd crap his pants Petty, but satisfying.

"Got plans today, Tanya?" Says the ever nice, slightly traditional brunette who is five lockers down and seems almost as fascinated.

"Same old, same old," She says, wondering if she should tell the girl that it's okay to come out of that closet she's in denial about. Briefly, she remembers an encounter where she and Dagmar were the fauns so to speak. A bit of a smile there, then she thinks of Zane and feels a melancholy come on.

She glances, even unsained, she can see the patterns of the school. Miles is walking too close to Dirk, and there's a good chance Dirk will get bored and trip Miles up. Jimmy is about to scare a girl unintentionally because he's walked up nearby and she doesn't notice him.. yet. Mr. Mulls clearly had a bad fight with his wife last night again and anyone in his first period is going to have a bad 40 minutes. It's not that she can see the future, it's that this has happened enough that it becomes almost a system, a dance, bordering close to routine.

Sure enough CRASH

"See you next fall! HA" Dirk says./ "JESUS where did you come from?" "New Jersey like you?" // "Bell's in five minutes... so don't aDAWDLE"

And Nadeen moves through the crowd, her mind imagining more than most people give the aloof girl credit for.

"Bon jour, Tanya" Mr. Gardener says

"Bon Jour, Mr. Gardener" she says

"Did you hear the latest?" Lucia asks her, "Rumor has it..."

"... and they can't find the mule!" Lucia finishes

"Good luck," Nadeen says and loses the boggan as they go down different halls

"she thinks she's hot shit," One mortal boy snorts

Another mortal girl frowns "Sometimes I think a bit snobby" not realizing Nadeen can hear

Arrogant I might be, and even other changelings might agree, but it's lonely being, I say it's lonely being the school's only sidhe A sigh as she slides into a desk for her first period with the practiced timing of a veteran ballet dancer.

And the bell rings sounding like applause.

Unaware they are but bit characters in the musical of Nadeen's life, the other kithain also have their own day

One boy watches her make her way through the halls, the tides of the schoolkids parting before her. He is shoved aside as another kid jostles past to get a glimpse - just a piece of flotsam in her wake. "Hmmph." Symon grumbles, watching her go. He keeps an eye on her - not really suspicious and as wary as he may have once been, but still keeping tabs on the resident Varich.

At least she has that damn sword's 'mouth' closed

It's a good thing she doesn't have a pooka's sensibility. Here, outside of the direct rule of the lodge, she could easily unhinge it mid-class, or while Symon is up at the chalkboard, for amusing results. But she hasn't.

Dirk calls out, "Symon, you gotta see this. I think Miles's braces are actually embedded in the locker vents"

He makes his way over with a grin. If the kid IS actually caught, helping pry him loose might engender some future favors.

Actually, somehow he did hook there... and Dirk laughs a bit cruelly, but follows Symon's lead in getting Miles out if needed

And Miles gets out muttering "dude...not funny"

Symon sends Miles off with a chocolate pudding cup (fresh, he rotates them through his locker) and a mention that if his mouth still hurts come lunchtime, the shepherd's pie looking-sludge is actually not half bad, and fairly easy on the gums.

Miles grunts "Thanks, Simon. I owe you."

and heads off.

Dirk is still chortling "Thanks man, I don't have your girly slender fingers to help whatzit feneese him out"
