The two patrol near the Ironhawk house not really aware of it.

"I can't believe you're still mad at me" Siv says

"Then you lack imagination and logic combined," Jonas says.

"I fought to free you," She protests.

"Your'e the reason my emancipation was required in the first place!" Jonas snorts.

"Yessss" Siv winces.

"I was dictumed to stay IN equine form," He reminds. "Did you mention to anyone that part?"

"noooo" She admits.

"So am I supposed to be pleased with your elaborate scheme's fall out?" Jonas turns and stops.

Siv despite her natural grace nearly bumps into him.

"oh" She says and looks up at him, then says "Maybe not. But you did agree to turn into a horse in the first place. I'm not sure why you agreed but..."

Then she stops, "Why did you agree?"

"Temporary delirium" He says looking away.

"Yeah well, damn it....I'm sorry. My mother and father could die and it's making me crazy..crazier. I mean, I was on a quest to help their odds.... with Dagmar and Symon and Gerd but....the point is, my folks, certainly my mother, could DIE against this mythic dragon and we're running out of time and I don't... I wanted a chance to face her in jousting which she loves to do... I knew she'd win but that wasn't the point and I didn't even get to do that and ... it all went to hell"

"Your mother is rather.. mythic herself" Jonas says, "Indeed the lodge is..blessed. Fierce warriors seem to be the norm"

"Yeah, Dagmar is likely to be a great storm one day, she's already a powerhouse." Siv says. "And Sylvi would make a great chief and ....yes the lodge would maybe continue but damn it. This isn't about that."

"And I know I'm selfish" She continues, "But I want my mom and dad alive and here, not dead and celebrated. Okay? SO.. maybe I'm not thinking good."

Jonas sighs "If I thought this was some sort of deliberately manipulative tactic," He puts a hand on her, "Siv. Wanting to be with your family is neither stupid nor is it shallow. The joust plan was ..reckless, but I DID go along with it. You're very... extemporaneous"

Siv looks at him, "Isn't that just fancy talk for 'i don't think?'

"No... not..in general, it's just... okay, you can be a bit reckless and ..impulsive" Jonas says

"Gee thanks. " Siv says

"I..." he shrugs helplessly.

"No, you're right." Siv says "The Joust idea was nuts. It seemed like fun but.. it backfired. For the fourth time I apologize. I don't know why you accepting it or not should matter to me but it does. I feel I wronged you but only you can decide if I've made amends. Just.. you're half vulcan and still so mad at me"

"Mr. Spock is one of my heroes," he says "Thank you."

"Of course he is," She sighs.

"And there you are, why do you see insult in even my thanks?" He says.

"I don't know, you make me a bit nuts." She agrees.

"You yourself can be quite frustration inducing." He counters, "That said, you are.. perhaps unaware WHY this.. whole thing vexed me. The horse simulation was not the first time I have dealt with dictums or sidhe power. To litterally be under them was...it is perhaps not you I was furious at. I was quite happy to be your ride," he says "it's just that..."

Siv snerks and blushes.

"I'm sorry, is there something funny about my admission of past psychological trauma? " BROW

"No no... it's just the .. ah wording" Blush.

"I was quite happy to be your... oh" A slight color change of a blush "Yes, perhaps not the best choice of ah..vernacular."

Siv says "So.. there you ... controlled by Ailil Sidhe nobles and it was.. my fault" Sobering, "Well, no wondering you're pissed."

"I am not as vulcan as you imagine," He nods.

"Why did you agree to it in the first place? WHY be happy being my ah.. mount?" Curious.

"Oh. ah.. well, familial matters endorse my sympathy, of course" He says blushing brighter.

For the first time ,Siv really wishes she were a Gwydion, "of course," Dubious look, "Come on, let me buy you a meal. Some place not the lodge."

"That's not necessary.... we're making amends through discourse." He says.

"You were between my thighs for a few minutes and it lead to complications for us both. Someone owes someone a dinner and I offered first.." She explains.

"SIV!" Shocked tone.

She smirks and motions him on to this place she knows.

Tove peeks out the window now that they're out of sight. "Oh my word. " SHe's not a boggan, but she's just got to talk to someone about this.

A day or so after Pennons, Adam discovers Brekke waiting outside his place of work, leaning against her battered parks department Jeep.

When Adam leaves work he stops short at the sight of her. Then he approaches, trying for 'public casual'. "Good evening, Chief." Quietly.

"Adam." She nods, standing to extend a hand to shake. "I need to speak with you about something that happened at Pennons. Do you have time now?"

He shakes her hand. "Yes, ma'am." He's going through memories and marshaling defenses.

She notes this. "You did nothing wrong, not that I know of, at any rate." She keeps her voice pitched low enough that they are unlikely to be overheard. "Adam, I believe you met the servant of a sidhe noble there. There servant's name is Larry. What do you recall of this?"

"Larry. Not much. Dag introduced us, we talked 'bout stuff. Someone put magic on him to not-talk about some stuff."
