Adam looks around, but doesn't say anything.

(Not sure if Olgar's out in the open or....??)

She bites on her lip.

Out in the open (assuming they're outside? )

Adam's enchanted eyes grow wide.

Olgar snorts. One of the few adults here, he moves closer and says so only they can hear "Any unusual activity in the lake? Giant Crabs? I think there was a trod shift"

".....sam?....."

"Um... no?"

He grunts, "Okay." A glance at Adam, "So you're Adam, huh?"

"Y... yes...." Horrified fascination.

".... hey, would that be a sea trod there? Maybe it'd be good for the new selkie..."

"..sorry.." Shushes.

"Heard you'll be helping with the Pennons" He looks over the kid. Towering even with a slight hunch as he bends down to see the boy, there is something about this shaved headed troll that feels different

"Maybe. I may have to go for a swim" A grunt

"Going to try." Adam confirms.

Still a little stare-y.

"Not sure why she's giving you so many chances, but she must see something in you" Olgar sniffs the air, nostrils flaring, "Don't jinx it, Adam."

Adam's jaw sets pugnaciously.

A little frown at his expression, brow creased.

Then a deep chuckle, "Relax, Adam. I'm busting your chops. Chief shows Dagmar the ropes ,Dagmar will show you the ropes. It'll be fine."

"But if you keep looking at this mug any harder I'm going to tell you to take a picture, it lasts longer."

"Believe me, no one wants -that- to last longer."

Pitched low. "Adam!"

"It's okay, Dagmar. I'm used to it." Olgar says to the girl.

Then to Adam, "You're a little insecure, and you confuse it for guts, but you might just get there."

A chuckle and shake of his head.

She's still frowning, posture tense.

Adam, with some internal struggle, says nothing.

A glance to Dagmar "Dagmar.... been meaning to say. Great work on the horses. Chief doesn't always come straight out with the praise, and I'm no equestrian, but you've got Star getting used to the new and better life fast. Saw her eat an apple from one of the childling's hands."

"Oh, that's her - she's smart as a whip."

"I think it'll take more time with men, though."

"You'd know better than me on that one" Olgar says "Seems to like Foam though so letting you know."

"Foam's a sweetheart. But good, I'm glad. She'll be happier when she knows she's safe here."

Adam pegs the lake-surface with another rock.

"She's a timid one. Some folks hide when they're scared. Others... puff up bigger than they are. She'll find her courage. I think. Or at least a good home. See you around then."

"Seeya Olgar..."

"See ya" and he heads off

Elbow nudge, genlte. "Hey."

"Yeah?"

"You okay?"

"Yeah! Fine. You good?"

"Yeah..." Lackluster.

"What's wrong?"

"Olgar didn't..." A frown.

"Why did you have to just go straight to being touchy?"

Adam shrugs. "He busted my chops. Not gonna just take it, but I didn't unload on him either."

She shrugs.

"What?"
