"Just that one day? So, like, people who are Unseelie all the time don't switch, they just stay Unseelie?"

"Yup!"

"So Dirk and Symon will be about the same. Olgar too."

"It's the opposite on Beltaine - first of Spring."

"Haven't met Olgar." Thoughtfully. "Beltaine?"

"Beltaine is in May. So everyone goes Seelie. But it doesn't have Mists like Samhain - Samhain, well, most normally Seelie folks forget it. Like how your memories go fuzzy when unenchanted?"

A pause. "I act different, unseelie."

"Which one am I? Different how?"

"Unseelie tend to be more selfish, more concerned with how they feel - so, like, sometimes there's stuff I want, but I know I have a job to do, or that doing so might upset my family or the lodge so, well... those come first."

"Unseelie, I'll do what I want first no matter how it affects others."

"Uh." Adam tries to swallow a grin. "Yeah?"

She shrugs.

"I started out Unseelie. I... well. I get angry more easily. I don't like when people try to take what's mine."

"What am I? How do I find out?"

"Well - I guess you wait? I don't know if I can tell. I'm not as good as, like, Frank." She does kenn him, to see.

He's.. not feeling the winter thing.. but it's also hard to read him on the summer thing. He doesn't have a fae soul, but there is sdomething Fae-ish ABOUT his soul.

He has a court.. but she's not sure what it is.

"Nope, can't tell for sure."

"Huh. Is that ok?" A little worried.

"Well, you are kinain, not kithain. So it's not nearly as extreme."

"So your soul is fae-ISH, right?"

"Right?"

"So I guess it is more "seasonish" than seelie or un."

"And Halloween is Unseelie?"

"Yup!"

A sly grin. "And you just take what you want?"

"..Yeah?"

"Cool." Smuggly.

"So, like, what do you guys do on Halloween? If you're all Unseelie?"

"I've only had the one. We... snuck into a party. There was a pirate ship..."

"Only one? But you're... oh, wait, you mean, after you found out you're a troll? A party? You guys do parties?"

"Sure!"

"Cool! What ship?"

"Well, we stole the Kestrel..."

"The what? You stole something? Wait, right, Unseelie." He nods. Then grins. "Take what you want."

"Hell yeah. I think I like the Unseelie thing."

"Well - it can be fun, maybe... but Unseelie can be cruel, too. Mean pranks."

"Meaner than a spider-ball?" Sour.

"Yes."

"Like - the stories of fae who steal babies, or turn people into frogs, or make them fall in love with not-their-spouse..."

"Huh. Well, yeah, ok. And I think she apologized...." He shrugs.

"...Eden?"

"Yeah."

"Yeah, probably. Pooka usually don't mean harm, but they can't express themselves very easily, not directly."

"Anyway." He shrugs. "So Halloween... what about Thanksgiving? Christmas?"

"Well, Thanksgiving is just regular.... the Lodge hosts a dinner, of course, but I spent mine with Dad and Tove."

"Christmas is with family, too, but there's Yule for Fae."
