"No, about my sister?!?!"

A shrug. "I'm a fuckin' slug, man. It's my job to know things. Don't worry, I don't think she's gonna hurt her. The opposite, really. Mrs. (InsertName) seems a good protector for the kid."

"Look, don't-do- anything to her, ok?"

He stops and peers over to Adam, up at Adam really, eyes narrowed. "I'm a creep, but I'm not a CREEP, okay? I wouldn't mess with her."

"Ffft" the cat says

Disdain for Adam's comment in the cat's language

"Not even enchant her?"

A shrug. "Why would I? Glam is precious, for all that the lodge tosses it around left and right. They're a bit spoiled, I think, living on top of a 'fire. Other folk need to scrimp and save to keep their own candle burning." A few steps before he clarifies, "Not that I think they act spoiled - just, they've got it easier than a lot of folk."

Adam looks at home a little suspiciously but nods. "Maybe."

"She's young, and happy, and shit. If anyone was to enchant her, it would be a pooka or something, like a magical Alice and Wonderland type tea-party. Me? I'm more like Eldritch Horror, you opened the Necronomicon and your soul was sucked into a dimension of endless horror."

"Good things in life" Lovecraft murmurs sleepily

"Oh. Well. I don't want her enchanted by -anyone-"

"Shouldn't that be up to her? I mean, eventually. If you're kin, she may be too." A shrug. "Blood's weird like that. But -I-'m not going to, so you're preaching to the wrong congregation here."

"Ok." Quietly.

He peers over at the other boy. "What's eatin' you today?"

A somewhat sullen silence, then a sigh. "Nuthin'."

"I don't gotta be a Gwyd to see through that one." A soft snort.

A shrug. "Just... been wishing I could undo all this. Cant, though."

He inches a little further away from Adam on the sidewalk. "That's dangerous talk. I mean, just... watch your words there. To be 'undone' is like, death for us." A frown. "I thought you were all gung-ho, woo-fuckin-hoo, excited about this? I mean, sure there's danger, but is one spider gonna scare you off that easy?"

"Not scared of any spider." He scoffs.

"Then why do you want to go back to being a muggle?"

A shrug. "Doesn't seem like anyone.... well, not a lot if you guys want me around or anything. It's hard. I can't make myself see you, you know, with someone giving me Glamour. Without that I can't fight monsters or anything. However going to be more that 'just' what I am..."

"So because you're not handed everything on a silver platter, you're going to reject what you DID get?" He shakes his head in bemusement. "I mean, sure, whatever. But you got more than most people ever get - you got a chance to see wonders, amazing things, and even if you can't do all of it, it's more than most ever get a chance to. But sure, sulk about it like a little kid who got a smaller ice cream than his brother and threw it on the ground instead." A frown.

"Nabuni ..' A yawn "Not dead." From the cat. "Despite banishment."

He tickles her under the chin. "I guess that's something. I don't really like her, but wouldn't want her to poof."

"Nearly starved, withered... not allowed feed." Purr...then tail swish "Saved before I can eat."

Adam looks lost.

A glance over at Adam, and offers an explanation. "Sounds like she's bound to you. And if you're not gonna feed her, she's gonna croak. Us kithain, we got mortal shells to fall back into if we run out of spark. But Chims, they're JUST glamour. So if they run out, that's it." A hand strokes Lovecraft, possessively, protectively.

"She can't go -possessing-people an....an... and making 'em -do- stuff, ok?"

"I mean, maybe not forever. She may just fade out until a new kid lives in that room. But I'm no expert." A shrug, and he looks intrigued at that. "She can possess people? Shit, that's cool. Don't see that power often."

He shakes his head. "Still not right."

"Who says?"

"Did you ask her not to? Maybe she thought you wanted it. Lovey does shit all the time, but I ain't banishing her for it. She doesn't know better - or she does, but it's in her nature. She's gotta be what she is."

Tail swish in the sluagh's face

"I told her not to! She wanted to do it to my mom, I said no, then she -did- it to Lana, who now thinks I'm nuts, thanks, and was gonna do it to Lana's sister before I got her to stop!"

Lovecraft looks to the side, a sure sign to Symon that the cat knows something.

Symon follows her glance, peering that direction...

Adam rants on, "And when I left Lana's, yeah, I told Nab to get lost and leave me alone!!"

"Banished" a yawn

the look was more to avoid eye contact it turns out

He shrugs. "Well, if you don't want her around, then you're in luck. Sounds like she'll tink out that way. But if you didn't mean it, you should probably go check on her before it's too late. Is possession all she does, or does she have any redeeming qualities? Unlike some greedy guts." A stroke for the kittums.

He shrugs. "She knows some stuff. About magic and all. Dunno where she is, haven't seen her since then."

A shrug. "If you don't care, then that's that." A flicker of glance to Lovecraft. "You seen that demoness around?"

"mm little imp only recharges two ways... one from certain dreams from a certain someonew who banished..." A purr "The other by possessing people and letting them do what they always wanted to do. Both Denied. So... waste away..."

Adam's body language is very on-defense.

"the boy is ignorance, the girl is want... beware them both, but most of all, beware the boy" Lovecraft leaps off Simon's shoulders

"Hey!" Adam objects.

He stumbles slightly as the weight leaves his shoulder and he's unbalanced for a moment. "Care to clarify any on that?" He calls after the cat, but without any real expectation of an answer. To Adam, "Well, that's that. If you want to keep her around, you gotta make a deal with her. Either feed her yourself or she'll have to either possess or fade out."

And the cat was cool and never said a mumbling.. well, okay, she had talked, but seems done with that.

Adam flushes slightly. "Uh."
