"Dolph?" Gladiola approaches.

He looks up from where he is weeding. "Eh? Ah, Gladiola. Come to help me pull out these stubborn pets?"

"If you need it," She says "But actually I wanted to give you a seed. Your cabbage is lost, it became a chimera actually or birthed one? Anyway, this is something to take the sting off, I hope?" she offers up the seed.

He squints, taking the seed from her and rolling it around in one callused, dirt stained palm. "Mmm. Lost, is it?" He heaves a sigh. "So much for the blue ribbon, but there's always next year." He looks slightly mollified.

"Fair enough lookin' seed. Guess we'll see what grows. Easy come, easy grow, as it were."

"It was a good cabbage, Dolph, and I'm sorry, but whatever this seed is, if anyone can make something of it, you can." Gladiola says "Anything else I can do to ease your loss?"

“Eh,” he shrugs, “ like I said easy come easy go. Ain’t like it’s the lifeblood of the barony, just a hobby of mine. We’ll see what this grows next season.” seems that it was a mild annoyance, but the good natured boggan is already moving on.

She smiles and nods, "Fair enough. Now, you asked me something when I showed up, pulling pets or something? HOww can I Help?"

“Ain’t rightly work for a Knight, but if you want…” he points to the weed sprouts that are intruding along his neat rows of seedlings

She bends down and starts to help, putting her might to work, "If a more urgent or knight required duty comes up, I'll take it on, but there's no shame in honest work that help the land you live on prosper."

"Though, honestly, if I thought I could get away with it, I'd try to talk Bluebell and Briar into grazing the weeds."
