And Thistle has a new shipment of pottery material, some of it appears to hum sloppily.

"...Why is it humming?"

The boggan who is dropping it off goes "Some sort of musical chimerical clay or what not... actually doesn't hum that well. but it can make more pleasant sounds if you shape it right, to enchanted ears only. What can I say? nobles and their fads right?"

"I dropped of some GLOWING metal for your farrier," the boggan goes on. He's a stocky porter type.

"Betcha Willie just grunted at you."

She pries one of the crates open to peer inside.

"Kind of. SOme folks is just shy I guess. Me I could talk all day if you let me," The boggan admits "Gossip and chatter and all that."

It is purely chimerical, but could be fused with mortal clays and the like. It seems to be a kind of blue gray in goop stage,, but with the righht work that might turn to gray material with blue veins, or vice versa.

She pokes it. "Where'd it come from?"

"I picked it up in a fae warehouse in Chicago, before that? I don't know."

It ripples rather slowly and the hum changes a bit before becoming distorted again

She pulls off a handful to play with, starting by rolling it into a ball.

Mmm not near as dry as play-dough, but not near as goopy as thick paint beginning to dry. The boggan says "Well, it's delivered. YOu know where a guy can get a bite to eat this this town?"

"You like burgers?"

He pats his midsection "I'd be lying if I said I didn't."

"Alright, good. The diner on Beech. The redcap can be salty, so fair warning, but he's a damn fine cook."

"Redcap? Huh, takes all kinds. That's for the suggestion there miss, enjoy your humming goop" He tips his hat and gets back in his truck.

She pokes a dimple in it.

"Cool." A distracted wave, as she has Stuff to experiment with.

The dimple smooths and the humming goes back to nebulous.

Head tilt.

Two dimples.

Pearl, Linna'es cat watches all this through a window. That looks and sounds neat. Maybe a cat should get in there and knock it over

Maybe she can figure out how to make a harmonic bloop scale?

Opposing sides does what she hoped for, creating a harmonic bloop scale but it doesn't last long... apparently she is not going to get a perpetual bloop wave going. Not without certain tools.

She tries turning the ball into a snake.

It's like a humming liquid theremin for a moment, hitting some highs at the narrower part, well, highs for the humming bloops. It won't stay in this form long without being subjected to a kiln or the like

"Hunh."

Pearl pats at the glass. Muppet, inside WITH Thistle, mocks the cat with a smug look of favored pet.

The goop, well, that snake has slowly returned to goop.

"Dinner ready in 15 minutes" Gladiola calls out

"Thanks Balboa!"

"YOu're welcome, Sparkles!" Is she trying out a new nickname for her? seems so

The nocker grins. Sparkles seems just fine.

And given the everchanging hair colors, probably fits.

For now, Our heroine nocker must put her humming go away to work on it later lest she incur marigold's disapproval.

Alas. Marigold tends to disapprove of clay in the kitchen.

Such a pity. Oh well, nockers must forgive boggans they care for their rigidity

Marigold earns a fair bit of respect. Not that Thistle would say so directly.

That would set an unfortunate precedent. Can't have that, everyone will expect it, then it loses all meaning, societal decay all around!

"SPARKLES! You coming?" Gladiola calls

"YEAH."

"seal your goop, clean your hands.. mom doesn't want us to eat until you join us. Big girls get hungry!" A protest . Maybe Balboa should have come out a redcap instead of a troll.

Surely a sample of goop would be okay...

What trolls and boggans don't know won't hurt them.

And the food IS smelling good. Here hopes the goop smuggled in doesn't hum TOO loudly!
