Muppet has blood on his maw

The cute little Glennie probably looks odd with that. He's a sweet boy. But there it is.

Gwen bends down "Okay boy are you... " She looks him over "Thistle? You around?"

"Mmm maybe not " Gwen cleans his mouth "Show me what you got, boy"

Muppet bounds along and leads her there. To the location of a dead gopher. The creature tears up the terrain , leaves holes that might hurt horses. And the baron wants them and other hole diggers gone

Gladiola gives him a treat promptly "Mighty Hunter. You do this alone or do I need to check the others and see if you had help?"

Muppet snorts. He's a TERRIER. He is one with earth and clay and dirt

then he wags

"Gotcha" Gwen gathers the carcass up

Wag?

"Thistle will be proud of you, call you an idgit, and while she's not into the killing, she will be smug and think you're the best dog around even as she keeps acting like she never wanteed a dog. YOu're HER dog. Of course she'll be proud" Gwen assures

Gwen is wrong, of course. It's IdJIT, not IdGit... troll probably doesn't pronounce gif right either

But she's not wrong about the proud thing, one suspects.

"Reluctantly Fond" might be the best term.

And Muppet wags at the idea of being his person's idjit, because he knows that's just Thistle's way of saying how he's HER good Boy!

Gwen seems to read this "Yeah, you and Arthur" smirk
