"It's a shame it's so big. If it was just the size of that little soldier doll, we could keep it. And Gwen could just step on it if it misbehaved."

"Couldn't fit all those glyphs on a little thing, unless you hire one of them crazy rice grain calligraphers..."

"What if you wrote the glyphs on something, then put that inside it?" He is looking at the workbook in one hand, and the personal journal in the other. His brow furrows with thought.

"See, I could inscribe the glyphs in the clay... maybe... maybe they could have one meaning when the halves are joined, and another when split..."

Art smiles over at Thistle, which she may not notice as she is pondering.

She misses it, nose in her sketchbook as she messes with some glyph ideas.

"See, like... life and slumber?"

Gwen gives Art a smile as if amused to watch their mutual friend go, and a bit proud

"I don't suppose there is any way to channel the life... energy... of the sentinel into a smaller vessel." He says, having thought of, then discarded the idea at the same time. "So much of the... everything seems to be based on those glyphs."

"There's a point where it would be a matter of ripping it apart and rebuilding, and that..." She shakes her head.

"What if we fed the entire books into it? His personal journal, and his workbook. Instead of deciding what it should learn, and know... teach it everything about itself. I mean.... he put his heart and soul into his work. Maybe that's a way to give a heart to his creation. Wrapped up in some safety netting."

"Focusing on what a heart could do, to make it not a threat."

"...we could take out the last few pages, after what Isolde did..."

A scowl.

"Sorry." He ducks his head a bit.

"Just... there's so much to study in those..."

"The knowledge wouldn't be gone. Just waiting to be rediscovered. I mean... you already have a clue now, right?"

"But you could be right. This is out of my depth here." he admits.

"We left my depth a half hour ago" The troll adds

"I can't fix it here..."

"I need measurements, documentation... but I'll need to make the heart in my studio."

"Let's see if we can get everything down - not gonna risk taking a rubbing, but we could transcribe the glyphs we see? Working from the head down to the water..."

“Sure.” Art starts helping out, copying everything that Thistle indicates to the best of his ability.

Gwen lends her muscle to any endeavor if needed

This MIGHT involve Thistle perching on her shoulders to shove a tape measure at the hollow chamber in the middle of the creation's chest.
