Grumbling.

Art has sloshed back to the edge of the pool, settled down and is paging through one of the books from the workshop.

Citrine is zipping in and out of the chest hole. Apparently this is very amusing.

"Citrine, don't..."

She sits down with a huff.

"Oh geez:

She stops, sitting in the edge of the hole, legs dangling down. She gives a chime that echoes. …ime….ime…ime…

Art asks, “what was that story you mentioned earlier? About the golem?”

"In Prague. The Jews there were stuck in a ghetto, right? Persecuted."

"A rabbi made a golem to protect them, but it was too strong to control."

“What if… instead of giving it orders, we gave it instructions? Like, a code to follow?”

"Like an AI?"

"I mean, in theory, you could code with those sigils. I mean, I figured if we did give it a heart, it'd need the, to be compatible..."

“I was thinking… you know that code that Trolls follow? And the escheat? Both good starts.”

He looks up at her, and brushes some wet hair out of his face. (It falls right back down)

“Only if we can figure out How…” hopefully to the Nocker.

"Maybe it's not just the shape of a heart , it's the words the heart clings to?"

She scrubs at her eyes.

"We need a contingency."

Art looks at the pool. “What if we sank it into the earth here? If we got David to do that rock-to-mud trick? It’s got to be really heavy… could go down so far that no cherry bombs would ever wake it again.”
