Gwen strokes Ivan gently, under the shade of a tree at the edge of the hold's immediate land.

She tried talking to Dee, but Dee was going out riding to see her girlfriend prodigal.

Bluebell was up to something.

Madern was busy. As was Thistle and Wudlig

She tried talking to Connor but the boy got distracted and... well, off he went to check it out and ended up playigh Rochalor.

Blossom said something catty and trotted off at Gwen's wave.

And now, now Julius and Baroness Nadeen are conspiring to send her off to some castle far away.

"What the fuck I do or say to get the cold shoulder from EVERY one, Ivan?" She strokes

"Mom is swamped with this or that, and gets little enough rest as it is. And I'm a wilder. I can't go crying to her because I feel snubbed" Stroke " The Baron is rightly spending time connecting with his son. Can't be mad at him."

"God knows what cirme against Humanity Briar is dedicating herself too now" Stroke stroke

Ivan licks her face, he hates seeing her like this, all upset and down tailed

"Yeah, I got you," She smiles "I could call Mavis. How sad is i t that a stranger actually talked to me for a longer stretch of time than anyone of my fellow kithain has talked to me in a month?"

"I guess, I like most kithain more than I do most sons of adam or daughters of eve"

"But.. the kithain don't like me back. Rivervale wasn't terrible, but troll reserve and distrust for an Ailil sworn were my allies there"

"Danica is training Madern and taking some kind of class I'm not even sure what I MISSED there"

"And Lien is balancing her romance with her work duties. WHich I know can't be easy"

"If I left tomorrow, would any one but mom miss me? Really miss me?"

Ivan hurumphs and snorts

"I'm sorry, Ivan, Of course you and the other dogs would miss me" he gets a hug

"just having a little pity party" She admits

She takes a sip of the tea cup, not her drink, but it's there.

Ivan looks alarmed and sniffs. Something about that tea cup feels off

"A little pity party" Gwen says, and takes a bit of the cake on the dish in the grass with a fork that's appeared.

It doesn't taste good, not nearly as good as her mom's least effort, but it's ..it's there.

Ivan barks at her, worried now, but Gwen doesn't seem to hear him. She feels only self pity as the world grows sadder and sadder and her desire to move or do anything but enjoy her pity party grows.

There are many dangers in the Dreaming, even that part that overlaps with the modern world. A pity Party Chimera Nervousa is not an animal in form, and not quite vegetable, though in some ways it's very much like a Venus fly trap. It often takes the form of inanimate things and food and drink. Distantly related lotus eaters of myth does with apathy, this danger takes the self pity in others and uses it as a lure and snare. A fuddle like rede locks the target into an oblivious state of all that happens externally. Those who have Pity parties are often alone when they do it (It's considered rude by society to be openly sad for yourself in public- very inconsiderate). So the Pity Party Nervousa often has little trouble capturing prey where they have no one about to check on them.

No one to help.

Eventually, a meal of sad tea and sorrow cake , which never seems to run out, proves to be not fattening, and non nourishing. Many a dreamer or kithain or kinain has in parts of Concordia died of thirst and starvation, and was never the wiser.

If Gladiola knew the signs better, she might have a chance of breaking out of her own.

Ivan tries to pull at her, but she mutters "No Ivan... party" And pulls free.

The Fae hound barks more, then circles her franticly. Finally....he decides he needs someone smarter than he. HE heads like a shot towards the SIlver Wolf hold to see if anyone will heed his warning that Gwen has fallen down the Well Pity Party!

Ivan enters the Silver Wolf hold immediate area barking furiously.

He scratches at doors, workshop or Bedroom ones

WOOF! WOOF!

(And pause, as Rae will be away tomorrow. Timer count down to Gwen's demise begins on Friday night instead)
