Her nose wrinkles delicately at the fare, but she does suggest, "That magnificent cake that your wee beast of a sister has been slavering over - if perhaps, a sliver, were left to go stale?"

A wink "I'll go tend to it now. Around here, if you don't move quick, 'little sis' pounces. I'll hide it away and wait till it goes properly stale. Hey, this monster, if you find out where it is, please let me know. But don't risk yourself cheaply"

"A life is never spent cheaply, else it was worth naught to the owner." She bows, a hand splayed over her heart in an oddly formal gesture that the sluagh has picked up somewhere.

Being of a house known for hospitility, she returns the gesture, then goes to save a sliver of that cake as promised. Hopefully Briar is so caught up in dreams of cloud killing she's forgotten about the cake for the moment

The Nockers gripe and tinker, the redcap girl cackles and plots, there is music, food, maybe even dancing... and eventually an amazing cake!

Perhaps the topic of conversation shifted from the Guest of Honor Gwen to the Unwelcome Guest in the menacing Cloud, but hey... it means that maybe a couple less people will ask the poor troll about her college plans.
