"I mean, you doing college?"

"Oh no, nope. I..." A pause "maybe community"

"So, like, you know something."

"Well, i did consider being a vet tech, but I like working WITH dogs, not on them"

"Maybe a trainer, or pet sitter, or groomer..."

"Trainer" She ponders "Yeah. I mean, I can groom , though we do't have many curly haired dogs so I would need practice there"

A shrug. "Only way to get good at something is to suck at it, first."

A smile "Look at you. Saying that. And being right"

"Listen, I can totally have double standards." A wry grin.

"Woman's prerogative" A nod

"Still, you're right. I can't be scared of failing so much I don't try. "

"It's a really lousy place to be."

"Well, you don't live there anymore and I'm going to take your advice and not move in. "

"Hey, I know you got time yet, but you got plans for when you graduate?"

"I dunno. College is expected."

"Oh, fam's putting the heat on huh?"

"Not overly, nah. Might see about trade school or something else like that, get enough money to set up my own business."

"I bet the baron and baroness would give you a loan if you needed it"

"What? They probably would"

"Yeah, maybe. I wanna... like, do stuff, though."

"Wouldn't that be doing something?" A brow knit "I think I'm missing something here"

"Ok, so, sure, I could have Dad pay for college, or ask the Big Two for money - and, like, they've already given me plenty!"

"But I wanna do it." She taps her chest.

"Like, at least have collateral?"

"Oh. You want to make it on your own" She ponders this "I can see that. "

"I'm not adverse to help, just..." She shrugs.

"No nocker is an island... a steam tech pensuala maybe but not an island"

"Somethin' like that."

"Maybe I'll take a year off to go questing in my spare time? "

"THAT sounds fun!"

"Sometimes I DO worry I'm a bit stuck in a rut. "

"Like you'd be unhappy with that."

"Well, I admit, my dogs make me very happy. Bit weird to found my life purpose right at the start."

"Why can't it just be your purpose for now, and then you have a midlife crisis, cut your hair, join a biker gang, and go travelling up to Alaska?"

"A husky pulled biker gang in alaska?" intrigued

"Oh yeah. Delivering medicine to the wilds!"

Happy sigh "maybe in a past life. "

"Maybe!"

"Do you think I should cut my hair? I'm used to it long, braided for lacross and fight"

"You could dye it!"

"I got lots of colors..."

"You'd help me dye it?"

"Oh, furk yeah!"

"We could try to do green and silver, though toning that is kind of a bitch..."

"Yeah, my House colors are tricky with my complexion sometime"

"Just need the right green..."

"Tell you what, don't cut it, but I leave the dye work to you after the party"
