All of Silverwolf has spent the last month preparing for this event!

Banners are up welcoming visitors, and guest pavilions have been set up for each to relax within and care for their charges in preparation for the events.

The politically savvy Baron and Baroness have taken care in the arrangements - ensuring that the Aesin welcomed with their owls and riding-elk from Count Mountainwild's Adirondacks are not next to the Liam contingent visiting from Safe Haven Barony, who specialize in guide dogs.

Redcap Baron Clyde Marrow with his 'hawg-dawgs' from Catawampus County is not positioned so as to offend the sensibilities of Countess Darma Falkenreach and Count Jager Lyonwilde, the tempestuous on-again off-again Gwydion and Fiona couple that rule contested over the Finger Lakes region next door. Indeed, those two have been given adjoining tents, but with the illusion of privacy given by a curtain that may be drawn between the two which also allows Darma's hunting cats and Jager's raptors to be given space from one another.

However, the Duchy of the Golden Sigil is not the only state who has made a showing, though they may be foremost in attendance simply from proximity. With invitations sent to Rivervale and Earth Runes, and even the notedly Modernist Farmhold have received polite invitations, as well as others...

That the event happens to fall over Halloween - and yes, indeed, Samhain, is perhaps a coincidence, and perhaps not. It is, after all, an Unseelie Hold.

A three-day affair, with the promise of a Wild Hunt on Samhain Eve, for those who may wish to participate.

For those who may NOT, there is plenty of time to attend, and still be well at home before The Eve - for those poor souls still in denial about accepting and reveling in their darker halves.

Perhaps surprisingly, it's a delegation from the DeBukes that arrive first out of state. They've dressed for wilderness work but not casually. Chieftain Clem has young Fae Mountain Dog by her side now returned to see her siblings. Teesha DeBuke has hawks to show off. And a fine fae steed of Lanork's line.

Delivered to Marigold to give to the Baron/ess, perhaps a dozen black and silver mugs - ordinary enough at first. ( )

Turning the mugs OVER however reveals that they either have four little dog paws as feet, or four horseshoes.

"For... like, I was reading about 'largesse'? If their lord and ladyships wanted to, like, give them out as gifts?"

Marigold looks them over and deems them all to be "Superb! I'll... mmm. I'll speak to the Baroness, but these might be just the thing. I had been wondering over proper gifts to the winners of the childling tourney, as monetary gifts or medallions may be less appealing than something tangible. I will also set them out as a fine offering of our Hold's handicrafts - something we have never been known for in the past, but, well, isn't it high time for us to be? You watch that Arcturus doesn't snatch the best of the lot, though - you know how he loves your work."

Her cheeks flush and she smiles. "Art's always been really supportive."

"But he has a space mug!"

Marigold's smug smile shows more than she lets on in words.

"Um. Well." She rubs the back of her neck. "I'm glad they can be useful!"

"How are those medallions coming along? I hope Willy didn't give you too much guff about working in her forge.

"Oh, I have those ready!"
