Lizbet tents her fingers once the satyr is out of earshot, and whispers...

"Go forth, my plague steed, spread rot and decay! May the foulness of ichor leach from thy very hooves, and leaves whither at your step!"

Asgwrn sniffs at the manger box, and finds a scrap of hay to chew on complacently.

"Well. Rome was not fell in a day."

Dusk stares at the sluagh girl with big puppy eyes

Well, she's a guardian dog so it's probably more evaluation

"She's not cursing us with the horse as a focus is she?" The baroness inquires of Dame D'Lorean

"Come ON my liege lady," The Baroness says "Whoever heard of that?"

"The Greeks" the Varich replies

"The horse is not made of wood" D'Lorean says

The Baroness sighs, and lays out her provisos

And Dee returns

"Hey, you still out here?" The knight calls out gently

She stands, she was in the horse's lean shadow.

"The Baroness says if you come in good faith, and if your horse is not disruptive to any here; she will speak to the Baron and is fairly certain he will agree. She further understands you will want freedom to visit your steed, and that is granted. However, if you enter the hold proper, you must knock so we know you are within. She would also ask that if you're going to do night time rides, you alert the thanes or knights before hand so they do not assume a theft . As you may realize we are extra vigilant of such. We protect our animals fiercely, and we'll protect yours just as fiercely. " A breath "Lastly, she invites you to the pennons and would like to know if you wanted to take part as a rider. I told her you just got the horse and weren't likely ready for the races, but..." A shrug "She felt she should offer"

A huff at the nighttime restriction. "Perhaps I may leave a ribbon upon her stall."

"You mean when you take her out or do you mean full time?"

"I mislike being... tracked."

"Huh, I don't really see it as tracking, not like we've putting a GPS on your horse, but you know if you want to leave us a ribbon to let us know your horse is legit taken out by YOU that might be a good compromise AND fufill the 'letting us know' angle in it's way. "

A thin, gummy smile. "If someone does steal my horse, and blame is laid to my lack of alert... then I will take great pleasure in hunting them down."

"You sound a bit like Gladiola there only with dogs" A nod

"Oh!" Her cheeks grey a bit. "High praise."

"Mmm Gwen likes you too" A nod "Anyway, your horse can stay there for now, I actually think the Baron will find her fascinating. Sure you don't want to come in for a cup of tea?"

"Much obliged, but I must groom my pony." Admiring her gaunt bony length.

"Of course, here, let me get you a brush unless you have one of your own?"

"Yes, please. Perhaps some vendor at pennons will have one made of bone..." She says dreamily.

"What sort of competitions are there for horses?" Curious. "I have not gone. I am no warrior."

"oh, well, now true, most places only have a joust, which don't get me wrong, I LOVE jousts... but we have also jumping..." she explains the leaping over the hedges etc, "A flat race for speed, though horses with magical gifts for speed, redes and the like may have to compete only against others like that.. .and Dressage" She goes on for at least ten minutes in details growing passionate

"Mayhaps I will race."

"You want some tips? Or help learning? "

"I will trust Asgwrn. I need no other teacher." She leans against the mare, though a saddlehorse with a hide over it might be a softer place to rest than the bony beast.

"Would your horse like a saddle or blanket? "

"Have you a corpse shroud?" Hopefully. "Or a mourners' veil?"

"No I.. wait, wait.. yes I do, a mourner's veil. Sec" She races off

and returns at satyr speed and says "Something like this?"

"You can have it if you like, I wore it at a carnival to celebrate a certain jerk hole not getting elected, I won't tell you what I did or did not wear under it so it not offend you but it's just been collecting dust since"

She looks surprised! "It is glorious."

The veil is draped over the pony, and she stamps and champs in approval.

It does have a little dust on it in truth, but that doesn't normally annoy sluagh

"Glad you like. Think of it as part of the togial if you wish, or as a thank you for considering showing your fine steed at the events"

"It is so suiting. My thanks." A hand on her heart, and she bows just a touch.

D'Lorean returns the gesture "Most welcome. You've put a lot of trust in us and that's flattering. Anything else I can do for you today?"

"Let me not distract thee from thy duties."

A curry comb and brush is handed over, no bones sadly but maybe someone will have a sale of such ... "Okay." And off she goes to tend to the other horses again

The pony is brushed until she gleams like polished bone, and whispered sweet nothings - or sour somethings, doted upon the equine.
