A sigh, and she pulls back. One of the nevers zips inside, chiming softly.

A muffled "WHAT??" from inside the shop.

"Nuthin', never mind. Ain't important, sorry."

The neon-violet never is exploring the tools hanging from Willy's pegboard. Chime?

Unavoidable little nuisances.

Stomping, and the shop door flings open.

She glares. "Your bugs got in here."

"They're not mine. Well, maybe Citrine is..."

"Not like I control them."

"Gonna build a trap." she grumbles "What didja want?"

Scowl. "Ain't right trapping them. They're not bugs. They're fairies."

"Gosh-darned nuisances."

"Yeah, well, little ninny will probably get distracted and fly off in a minute if you left her be."

"Anyway, I'm getting sained early, so you're off the hook with me now."

"When?"

Shrug. "Whenever the Namer gets here."

"There's... shit happening we gotta deal with, so the Baron decided it would be better to get this done now."

"Me being a fledge still makes it too hard."

"Somethin's going on?" She stumps back inside, but leaves the door open. Probably an invitation.

"Someone stole my newborn sister out the hospital and magicked it up so everyone thought the baby died instead."

"We're pretty sure it was my stepmom's brother. Janice is... was... a selkie. It's complicated."

Thistle has drifted to inside the open door. Citrine whirrs nearby - that particular Never appears to be a clockwork hybrid, more like a crafted chimera than a dreamed one.

Willie glares at the Never and pours what is possible tar from a pot into two mugs. "Yeah. Fae got some fucked up families."

"Yeah. So... yeah. Sained, maybe today, maybe tomorrow."

A grunt, and she takes one mug, leaving the other there to, perhaps, poison a Never. "Congrats."

"Pyew!" Citrine has an Opinion on the tar.

Thistle, however, takes the mug and gives it a sniff. "I guess, yeah."

"So, like I said. You're off the hook now."

"I know I was dropped on you without much by-your-leave."

"Look, I hear good things about the work you got going on. I'm not completely deaf. I'm thinking you'll be able to fix anything you screw up."

She catches her upper arm with the opposite hand and shrugs. "Yeah, I'm decently handy at fixing things. Useful enough to have around."

"Best kinda way to be." she swallow some... well, it might have started as coffee.

"Yeah. So. Um. That was it."

Willy eyes her over the mug. "Yeah?"

Muted. "Yeah. So. Um. Come, if you want. Sorry I don't know when, exactly. Like I said, it's not... " Shrug.

She sets down her mug. "I'll be there."

"Yeah, I can send Citrine over, maybe, to let you know? She's still an idiot, but I think she's got at least two braincells."

"Which one is she?"

A nod at the yellow clockwork one.

"Mmph. Fine."

"Yeah. So... sorry for disrupting your work."

A shrug. "Puts me behind on the work and now I've got this thing to go to but... eh."

"Well, then don't furkin' go."

"Like I said, it's just a thing."

"I said I'd go, you don't want me ta go?"

Jaw jut.

"Not i f it's gonna be some kind of hassle. Like you said, you got shit to do."

"I'll be there. Just pull an all-nighter an' make it up."

"Well... cool, I guess."

"It's August ya nimrod; even up here in Apples not much is -cool-." Now that just -has- to be reaching to pick an arguement.
