A narrow eyes, thoughtful yet suspicious look. "Yeah? So.. what, he wants me to bust this hag's balls?"

Briar laughs! "Naw, pull the other one."

Then she says "Apparently Riverhags and Redcaps are kind of related? So there's hope she might cut a bit more slack if she dislikes us in what she sees as her turf. The stirges are a threat to us all "

"Why don't you just tame 'em? Throw 'em a frickin' bone and let them loose to suck up your enemies?"

"Or, hey, get this! I saw on the internet, these guys got a wasp nest and taped it in a box, and mailed it to their old boss..."

Cackling at the memory.

"Even a sluagh I know thought them unsuitble for taming" She says "Also, the baroness wants them gone, or at least SEVERELY Culled"

"Well at least she ain't being a bleedin' heart whaa-whaa about saving the precious beasties."

Briar cracks her knuckles. "Can I get a baseball bat? Like, with spikes on it?"

SHe ponders that "Well, they're chimera so it might need the spikes to be chimerical too? I could ask Willy or Wudlig"

"Awww, I don't want some piece of fiddly Nocker sprocketcraft. I want a REAL weapon. Like the Thanes get!"

"Mmm but how will it kill the stirges?" She does not nix the idea period

A snort of frustration. "I mean a 'real' weapon. It can be chimerical, but I want something SOLID and GOOD like Dark Gate makes. I work my ass off around here too, but ain't no one giving ME no new forged nothin'. Is it 'cuz I ain't got an oath? Or 'cuz I ain't tip-toeing around thinking no one knows I been smoochin' on their chief?" Eyes rolled HARD.

"Well, you do know a lot of things can be used as weapons, baseball bats, tire irons etc. But you might still get funny looks. HEll, I could KILL Someone with a lacrosse stick" She ponders "What about those knife gloves you used to have? "

"They're good for up close 'n personal like. What, YOU gon' tell me you don't like your stabber stick now? Plus, HELLO! NEWS FLASH, I'm SHORT! And those fuckers FLY!"

"Unless you plannin' on throwing me into the tree?"

"Tempting" SHe nods "So you want a real weapon, and you want range" SHe ponders this "how's your throwing arm?"

"Ain't shit. I wanna whack things. You want distance? That's Blossom. Hey, she coming along?"

"Probably not" A thought "Maybe but probably not. I thought you didn't like her?"

"I don't! I don't like any of ya, though. She sucks less than some of the others, sometimes. You know, it's bullshit that she can't hunt anything with her hawks. Birds gotta HUNT. But nooooo, can't go after wee critters cuz of Bluebell, and can't pick off annoying chims because of Thistle. It's enough to make me wanna barf."

"Well, she can hunt she just has to go further out but I hear you" SHe nods "Okay, so you want REACH...but not something you throw. Mmmph sounds like a spear. ANd no you can't have mine."

"Not some silly poker neither. Something I can WHACK, not stab or slice. Like, onna those... uh, like a bat with nails in it, for whackin' heads in and making it HURT."

Gwen knows that there is an entire world of blunt melee weapons, maces, mauls, morningstars, spiked clubs...

"I think morning stars, or a spiked mace. Not so much reach but yes more than your knife glove. Down side of a spiked weapon is it can get stuck, but yeah, pretty frickin brutal"

"Yeah, it gets STUCK. ANd then I RIP ER OUT!"

"Not that it NEEDS spikes to kill" SHe ponders

"You know what, I'll see what I can do." SHe says "they owe us
