Art starts to protest - but she cuts him off.

"If I heatherbalm it like it is, it will heal crooked. You'll never hold a book in that hand again. It needs to be straightened first." Art swallows. "A doctor?"

Danica raises a brow. "I am not explaining this to a doctor, and YOU are not spending time at a hospital. This is not up for debate. Thistle, the other arm."

"Arthur, the secret to doing this is simple" She distracts him while they work , eyes on him "The best element is one of delayed ancipation ..."

A warm glow spreads from her hands and up his arm, which is now straight and lined up more-or-less properly.

Art wiggles his fingers - a small wince, still a twinge of pain there, but they all move and grip.

"Well, no, I suppose not. Canis Major is a constellation in the southern celestial hemisphere... it's part of Ptolemy's 48 constellations. Sirius, the dog star, is the brightest star in the constellation... it's Latin for 'Greater Dog' and..."

Briar kicks at a corpse, not answering.

"Uh, it led us here."

Danica is on the phone a few paces away. Soft muttering, "Intersection of.... mumble mumble. 5 down, and you'll need a power washer. Yes, the usual account. I'll cover any interference."

(Thistle is still holding Art's arm.)

"You DID? I didn't know you had a talent in Sooth say!" He looks incredulous, and impressed. "We could have been studying together..." He does not pull away, then again, he might still be a bit lightheaded.

Gwen is checking Ivan over, running hands through his thick fur to look for hidden nicks or cuts. And of course, telling him what a good boy he is.

It parks, and a lady who is clearly a boggan comes out of the drivers seat. She gives a low whistle. "You weren't kiddin' were you, Danny?"

A LOOK at thistle and a whisper "HOw badly hurt is your back?"

Mostly unscathed! The paint is scuffed up and one of the rims bent where it went under the bumper. Oh, and it is a bit gorey.

The boggan notices Art looking that way, and reassures him, "We'll get that cleaned up and dropped off at the station for you. Part of the job."

She looks at Briar, and raises a brow, but doesn't ask any questions. Too well paid and too professional for questions.

"Thank you..." Art says, and the boggan tips her head and says, "Mrs. Sunshine."

A crew is unloading equipment from the truck already. Suits, a pressure washer, bags, scrapers, sluicers, a barrel of some sort of unmarked chemical...

Mrs Sunshine calls over, "My cleaning crew will return any personal effects found on the corpses." Matter of fact. "If you want a final look, take it now, or there won't be anything else to see."
