"Dragon Pods I think? " She says

"Ooo. Maybe we could line them with pages. There are plenty of books we couldn't recover, and I have stacks of loose pages that I wasn't sure what to do with. It didn't feel right to throw them away." He admits.

"Yeah, let's ditch the fish."

Curious, Gwen glances through the Fish book, then blinks "That's ..like cultural conformity to the ugh degree. That would be like asking a nocker to stop being good at creating, or a troll to please stop lifting around people."

"But we could use some of the pages from books too damaged to repair as nest lining, yeah..."

"It would work" A nod

He beams. "'Nax is napping in the library now. He has a few hours left on that story about the hot air balloon. Say, could you build a hot air balloon with an engine that could circumnavigate in less than 80 days?"

"I.. haven't tried? Maybe."

Gladiola willfully pretends she's not hearing this.

"I wonder if that hide from the jubjub bird would be big enough to make into a balloon." He considers. "Though, I don't think that bird could fly. Is that a bad omen?"

"Probably. You want sympathetic materials."

"And I think you have to be careful with purely chimeric stuff in the real world? Though maybe I could make a balloon for trod travel..."

"Maybe wait for after saining? " She points out "I won't be able to go with you guys by balloon trod. I'd be like deadweight"

He considers, " Maybe if we left out the ballast?"

"I still can't believe you guys brought a tree down on a jub jub bird." Impressed

"Well, a branch" She admits

"Well, Thistle was the branch manager. I was just the assistant branch manager."

Art hides a grin.

"Ouch. Just. Ouch" A groan to show how she appreciates how bad that was

"Bad puns aside, it was a pretty boss move by both of you"

He grins sheepishly. "Mostly Thistle, and D'Lorean, and Sir Treyvor. He was a quick one with his sword."

"Poor Bluebell, though."

"Yeah" A frown "Hope she's home soon. I miss her"

Art blinks. "Oh, Miss Marigold was on her way out when I came in. Picking them up from the airport!"

"OH" Realization "Wonderful." She says "I wanted to talk to her"

"They should be back within an hour or so, I think."

"Good to know, thanks Arthur" SHe means it

"I'll get started collecting those pages for you, Thistle. Which of these, uh, nest... vases? Which one are you going to use?

"The smallest, first."

"This way he can be cozy, right?"

"Ohhhh..." He looks over them seeing the sizes. "Oh! I get it!"

He grins. "Maybe you can add some of those JubJub feathers? I mean, he's not a bird, but it at least would be like, you know, a dream of flight?"

"Maybe... I was thinking I could try to raku fire with some newspaper and see if I could transfer words into the glaze..."

"Would Braille help?"

"Ohhhh, maybe!"

He nods, "That sounds great! I mean, I don't know what any of those words mean, but I know that YOU know..."

"Sure."

"I'll see if I can find a book on braille for you guys" She offers

"I think there are some in the town library, but you can't keep them. Reference, though! I can bring some home. I mean, here." He smiles.

Gwen smiles at that "I'm gonna leave you two to it. I need to see if I can track down Bluebell when she gets back"

And she heads off , Muppet fed

"I'll go check into those books before the library closes." Art adds, and heads out as well. Leaving Thistle with her work, and her dog, and nearby, her baby dragon.
