"When we showed up and he was prancing around to battle his beast, and Bluebell was on her own. His steed was battle trained as well. If nothing else, he could have sent her to safety and then fought the beasts." A hint of a frown.

"Granted, if he had asked ME, if I would serve in such a capacity? For the chance to see a Jabberwock in person? I would have volunteered!" He cannot help a grin.

"Though, now having seen one? I prefer the one on paper."

"You both have good points. And Arty, you are your own kind of crazy, but I think you're going to be a fine noble when you are sained. You care about others"

Meanwhile, the little dragon is curled up, and sleeping. Art leans over to look at it, and to Thistle. "Can I touch it?

"I'll escort you to the town historian if you like. He and I don't always agree, but I respecct him" She remembers how he stood firm for his values, even if she also stood for hers

"I don't see why not."

He carefully strokes it with a fingertip. "He's.... kinda soft!" A glance to Gwen and Thistle. "I mean, I don't know it's gender. Or even if it HAS gender. But it seems wrong to call him 'it'..."

"Mind you, he's a slaugh, and they have some biases against House Varich" Then a smile at the softness "If he grows, the scales will probably molt a few times, then grow harder as he gets older"\

"Maybe we could give him a nickname, just for now? Draco is a little too..." He taps his nose. "On the nose. But maybe something similar. Fornax, for the Furnace? It's a proper latin name, and sounds almost draconic... but, uh." He looks to Thistle. "Maybe you should think of something. He seems to have taken to you."

A blink, and he grins, realizing. "Or, to your gloves... you have mother-dragon hands."

"Fornax... Fornax, the constellation!"

"Art! Art, you saw this!"

"Wait, what?"

"Art saw this! He had a vision!"

His cheeks go a little pink. "I wasn't sure. It could have meant anything, or nothing..."

"No way, it was this!"

"That's a recurring theme. I don't know if you're Beaumayn or not, because some other houses have oracles and the like, but you definitely seem to have a gift in that direction, Arthur" She observes

He turns a darker red, even his ear tips pinking. "Well, I just saw things. Thistle is the one who ACTED."

"I wouldn't have gone to get the stuff without your pushing."

"Or work on this project at all."

He shuffles a foot. "It's just... it felt important."

"You're both amazing, okay? But it's important to notice your gifts." Gladiola says "Past life or not, I had to learn about dogs from the Baron ... and stone skin has it's ups and downs"

"Every night, or almost every night, I kept seeing the same star patterns..."

"I guess if I sleep without them tonight, I'll know for sure." He grins cheekily.

"Until then I think Fornax is a solid name"

"It is. But - Art, we should try it again, too. We know it works, yeah?"

"You mean, watch the stars again, with you?" He nods. "Any time!"

Her spirals are glowing pink, but she nods.

Gladiola is careful not to comment If they'd only find some Bleachers and make out already

"Then, if you want to go visit the historian, maybe I can take Fornax to visit Earthrunes." And the library!

"That is, I'm not sure if we should take him away from freeholds or the dreaming, in case he's still weak. All that work, just to have him wink out?"

"One of the Thanes could escort me if you prefer not to go, Dame."

"Though... I'm sure he would be safe if he's with you." He allows, looking at the tiny dracling in Thistle's hands.

"It probably is the gloves."

"The gloves probably DO help. But I think it's also you. I mean, you saved it- him. AND it's a chimera. They all look to you."

"I guess?"

A buzz in Art's pocket makes him jump. He checks his phone, and gapes, and slaps his forehead. "I am supposed to pick up Gawain from kindergarten aftercare! I have to go... like, now! I might just make it in time if Wudlig is free for a ride..."

"He was tinkering when we came in. Grab him while you can" Gwen says

"Run like the wind, Art!"

He waves and dashes out!

Soon afterward, the sound of a roaring pumpkin coach indicates that he might just have caught his ride!

"Sure hope he got INSIDE The vehicle" she comments at the sound

"Wudlig put in obstacle detectors, so probably?"

"Yeah, if they wo.." she realizes she's talking to a nocker about a nocker "They'll probably work"
