"I know which one must be Marigold's from years of her cooking... but this dish, she's let the flavor of the meat shine through. It is... good." He admits quietly.

Briar... she dumped both together and has already licked the bowl clean.

Kourtney gapes at how fast the redcap devoured a bowl "Would you like... seconds?"

"Hell-" Briar glances to Gwen BEFORE the Troll can nudge her. "Heck yeah. The one with the big chunks!" That's Kourtneys.

Nadeen whispers "perhaps they'll trade reciepes. Which do you prefer?" A bit of mischief in her eyes

Gwen was about to nudgge but nods. She likes em both but clearly favors one over the other

"Marigold's, honestly. The expert combination of the wine and spices provides a deeper layer of complexity, and it is nicely complemented by the fresh noodles instead of starchy potatoes. But I would not send back this other, if served." He nods, inclining his head in approval.

Nadeen smiles "I suspect the one I favor is Marigold's too, thoughg I don't know her meals as well as you. I too prefer the ...well, flavorful patterns witth the noodles. the admixture is like a very intricate waltz. the other a delighful jig, but as you said, less complex"

Blossom actually looks guilty "Uhm.. I can't tell which made which"

Danica and Linnea exchange glances, and both set their spoons to the side of Marigold's dish.
Julius puts his on Kourtney's, and gets his side pinched by Bluebell! "What?! I like beer in my dishes, and wine for drinking."
Bluebell is contrary and votes for the side salad!
Art whispers to Thistle, "I can't decide!"

The Daireann keeps track of who the traitors migght be

And Gwen sets hers to the side of the side of her mom's dish, at least she's 90% sure it's her mom's

Dolph also votes for the more rustic dish... but that leaves the majority votes for Marigold, it seems!

"Was a time I'd have eaten shoe leather" Dee Recalls hard times

while she dithers, Nadeen has already put her spoon next to Marigold's dish

"Honestly it's a coin toss for me. I think this oe is better, but the rustic is more my style. So I'm going with better" Dee explains

Briar just keeps eating!

A swallow, "You should do this every day." Briar says before filling her mouth again.

"Oh thannk you. But I have to challenge ohter Chefs and hearths on my wanderin" Kourtney notices that Marigold has a definie lead, yet seems delighted she ggot as close as she did

"I think" Nadeen says "that with the gap now great enough, though hardly shameful for any, we have a clear winner. Chefs" She says enjoying playing judge and announcer "For the record, whose meal is this side?" She points to the winning side

Marigold inclines her head with a smile.

"I KNEW IT." Says Briar, though she's still eating, and had no clue.

"Me too" Says Blossom. Who may have never selected

"Way to go, mom, still Champeenn" the Daireann says

The Baron pats at his lips with a napkin. "Both were quite good, though it is clear that Marigold has the benefit of many years of practice and knowledge. You will be a credit to the Farmhold, in cooking at the very least."

He can afford to be gracious, as the winner, or at least, liege of the winner which makes him a winner too....

"thank you, Baron, thank you all" Kourtnney says "I knew I'd likely lose. Word of experts get around. But It's a pleasure to been in her kitchen, a pleasure and honor"

Nadeen nods "As winner, I take it Steward Marigold may now have a copy of your recipe so she might tailor it to her needs?"

"I.. well, course, Ma'am, if she likes but I ssuspect she knows it" A look to Marigold "If you wish, I'll write it up"

And Kourtney adds in a whisper "I'd love to have yours. It's amazing"

"Of course. And you must come back soon, no one here is really interested in cooking beyond the basics, so I'll love to have someone to 'talk shop' with."

Nadeen is looking stuned at something, touching her chest as if lanced, but leaves it be

Aiden reaches over to rest a hand on her arm, looking concerned. "Nadeen?" He murmurs.

Kourtney seems very pleased "Yes, steward I may talk your ear off about wines. I best get to work helping clean up"

Nadeen whispers "She called me 'ma'am' ... are my eyes bagggy today?"

He whispers to her, "These farm folk clearly do not know the proper mode of address for a grand lady, you look as dewy fresh as the first flower of spring."

Nadeen looks mollified, and whispers "Thank you, love. "

Gwen smiles to her mother, then eyes Julius and makes the I've got my eyes on you gestue

He shrugs with a grin and pours more wine!

Aiden speaks up, "We will soon need to coordinate with your Chieftain about the mountain dog choice. As she has claimed first pick, the others must wait, and I do not wish to delay for too long."

"I shall pass it onto her, Baron" Kourtney says "I promise"
