"I... right" Gwen quiets

"It is far more complicated than you may understand." She casts a glance over to where Frankie and Bluebell are having a face-making contest. Bluebell may be able to cross her eyes, but Frankie wiggles a loose tooth! They both laugh!

"...I chose my love, over my heritage. I traded True Dreams, for my own dream."

"...for Dad?"

"Is it so hard to believe?" A smile manages to break though the somber sadness, wistful and sweet. "He is my sea."

"I don't know how to fix this." Frustrated.

"It's not yours to fix, Thistle. You can't take responsibility for other's choices"

"There is nothing to Fix."

She nods slowly to Gwen.

"...but nockers fix things?"

"People are not things." She says softly. "And you cannot take responsibility for another's choices, especially if made long before you knew them."

Marigold hmmphs a bit, but quietly. Clearly, BOGGANS are the ones who fix people.

"But.. but you look so sad."

"I am sad." She agrees. "What is happiness, without sorrow to balance? The dreaming is kind - the memory fades, and with it, comes peace."

A scowl.

"I.. shouldn't have enchanted you"

"You saved my family."

"I drove a car"

"You helped save Frankie."

"I would have let that... monster walk away with my SON. You are a hero."

She nods!

"mmmph " Shrug then "I'm glad Frankie is safe. He's a greatt kid"

"Gwen saved my stuff from getting destroyed. And she saved the dogs."

"Can we keep him, mom?" Frankie pipes up. Muppet, that traitorous pooch, is sitting up like a teddy bear, with a paw on Frankie's arm.

Thistle frowns briefly.

"Muppet?" A grin actually does blossom "Hey Thistle? Do you think muppet would like being Frankie's guard dog?"

An anxious, guilty look. "Yeah? Muppet's really friendly."

Janice hesitates, and looks to Thistle. "Do you think it a good idea?" She looks at muppet, and her expression goes a little vacant for a moment. Oh! She can do the thing, Thistle sees.

"Muppet's a good dog. He would be really good with Frankie. He doesn't bark, and he's smart."

"He is a faery hound! Such a beast is rare. Surely your Lord would not simply give such a creature to guard a mortal?"

"They... they were gonna sell them..."

She offers her hand to the dog, letting him snuffle at it. He licks, and his nose crinkles a bit at the salty tang to her skin.

"Of course, Muppet maybe put out to sttud services for other Glen of Imaal terriers, and might need to come here now and then to help Thistle with her projects. Frankie, you would have to share him with your sister"

Janice kneels to ruffle Frankie's hair. "You'll need to ask Th- ... Katrina for her approval. Remember, it is her home too."

Frankie turns BIG EYES at Trina. She knows he's never had a pet! Not even a fish!

"Yeah, sure."

"Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Frankie squeals!

"I'll talk to your Dad. I agree. It would be good to have someone to keep an eye on you. AND you can learn to be responsible in caring for... 'Muppet'."

Muppet sits up in the classic glenie sit

"Muppet's a good dog."

But her spirals are blue.

"Are you well?" A touch alarmed, she reaches to rest a hand against Thistle's cheek!

Gwen sees that. She wishes she had the right words

"Sure?"

"Muppet would be a great guard dog. He attacked the spriggan."

"He's really smart."

Marigold speaks up, "Perhaps it's too much to plan after such an intense day. Let's speak of it later, perhaps?"

"Sure, we'lll want to arrange his papers at the least" Gwen says

"Yeah. He's all fancy and purebred, even though he looks like a mutt."

Muppet drops and goes to offer his belly to Katrina

"I should call for a car. Can a car come here? Do I need to arrange a pickup elsewhere, for Frankie and I? Oh, he doesn't have his coat..."

"Yeah, you. Scruffy-ass hairball." She rubs the offered belly.
