"Baron, so much has happened.. Please come in. Someone ..something tried to steal the puppies"

To Ivan she says "Ivan, search the area, see if you find another puppy, or sign of one. If you do, bark" She is firm, "And by the way, Ivan? You are the BESTEST boy"

A woof, and he trots off to look around. Meanwhile, the Baron is crawling into the den. It's a bit crowded, but he doesn't seem to mind, nor does he care of the dust or dirt on his suit.

"What?!" He snaps, shock evident in his tone, but he quickly lowers his tone as he sees Mischka there, well, and with puppies by her side. "Tell me what happened." He says urgently, even as he reaches out a hand to lightly stroke Mischka's side.

"Everyone was asleep, or seeming asleep, the animals for sure. I called out, but no response... if it wasn't for Art, I probably would have been too. " And she explains EVERYTHING, the dog named Bosco, the strange creature "... seemed like a Piskie but .. not quite..." And how he had the puppies in a bag, "If I find him whoever he is, I'm going to remove his puppy stealing hands and pour salt on the bleeding stumps, my lord" Now that the puppies seem safe, she can feel a lust for revenge for this assualt on her charges rising

Aiden's face is stormy as well, though... he seems somewhat mollified that the pups are safe. He reaches out to clasp Gwen's arm. "They are here, and safe, and it is thanks to you, Kennelmistress. That is the important part. Now, as to this Bosco, if he is anywhere near our lands, we'll have him hunted down. The other?" He ponders, and his expression is dark. "Could have been... no... unlikely." But still he ponders.

"Unlike what, my lord?" SHe says and resumes looking about, then a thought comes to mind how to settle things. She moves carefully to Miskha and touches her, "Easy girl, I just want to cast a cantrip on you. Your body will know the answers I think even if your mind was asleep"

"Gwen, help me..." He reaches out and is running his hands along the sides of the den. Looking for... he doesn't seem to know what, but he is searching.

"Ah.." Cantripus interuptus

"I have yet to see a creation of Combecatte that doesn't have some sort of secret...."

SHe moves to the den's wall, and knocks, gently. Stone covered knuckles

There is something - in the pattern that has the Native imagery... was there normally a cat in that legend?

It's just a bit of carving on one of the wooded braces...

She says "Oh good grief, Wudlig, I wanted a den not a puzzlebox" She..carefully, presses one end of it, seeing if it swivels like a lazy susan

She presses, and what looks like a flat side of the den opens up to a small tunnel! Small, but easily dog sized, even if one the size of Mischka might need to crouch a bit! Movement inside, in the dark!

She reaches in, trusting her stone skin to protect her. Gently. "Baron, something in here"

She finds a sleepy Glennie! This tunnel must go all the way to the main kennels, and back again. This young female dog doesn't have a nickname yet, but she is curled up with.... THREE more puppies! Hidden away and cozy as you'd like.

A gasp.."Baron? I think this glennie saved the other pups" She pulls them out gently one by one

She gets her hand licked by the glennie. Aiden nods slowly, examining the tunnel and the catch. "I think, perhaps, you did, Gladiola. Your foresight in setting up this den, not to mention catching them in the act." He does pat the dog though. "Good Girl."

"Baron, the real warning came from Art. if he hadn't had that vision, if he hadn't called..." She tells him " The den wouldn't have mattered as much. ANd I suppose I should thank Wudlig.. even I didn't order a tunnel. What is it with nockers? If you asked them to make you soup you'd get a bowl of chilli"

"Is Chili not soup?" He ponders, but shakes his head. "No matter. These visions you've reported... they're not just dreams, they are accurate? We'll need to look into this, if he has skills as a seer."

"I don't know if all hsi visions are accurate, but this one was, and it saved our dogs as surely as I did." She says and puts the three lost pups next to their mother even as she pets the glennie gal who saved the day

"Yarf!" Says the Glennie, but quietly! The rest of the pups are nosed into place, one to ten. Aiden admires then, then winces, realizing he's a bit cramped. "We'll double up the guards, and send out a search for that dog. We'll find the culprits."

"Come along, Dote." He says to the glennie, "Let the family rest." The Glennie settles in, and whuffs, not moving. A raised brow from the Baron.

Gwen is practically on her knees in here or close to it, she nods "You were saying.. earlier, that the description 'could have been' something? For the pup napper?"

He shakes his head and lets Dote remain in the den, though he says, "If Mischka decides you're tresspassing, don't come crying to us to lick your wounds." And he leaves the den, gesturing for Gwen to join him as well.

She does

And stands up to straighten out her back

"There is a manner of creature, a thallain, known as a Spriggan. They are very rare... but they delight in kidnapping children. Some say the tales of Rumplestiltskin and witches that steal away youths are from their exploits of old.... I have never met one, but they look not unlike a Piskey, but without any good nature."

"Just the looks alone I wouldn't bet on, but they are said to have some control over the weather... though that as well could be attributed to some skill in Skycraft?"

"It's how they put so many to sleep that worries me. We may want to check the food and flooring of the animals. They sneezed some, perhaps a powder?" A scowl "A spriggan? I see. Should I met one I'll ..deal with it. Should I met the one who tried to steal Mishka's pups... I'll remove his hands and bring the rest of him before you if I can"

He nods with a cold gleam in his eyes. "Perhaps w shall remove his hands, and let Mischka and the others deal with the rest of him as they see fit."

"I dare say, Mischka would like that, Baron" Yes. It would appear Gwen's learned a lot from Aiden, and she embraces more of it than some will ever know. A thought "The.. spriggan, IF that's what he was, had a dog named Bosco with him. A mongeral, but .. when I ordered him, he backed away. I do not know if he was a true dog, a fae blood muddled, or a pooka.. If the last, I will forget my kindness I think. But if the rest, it might be a way to track the wrong doer."

"If a pooka, we might find how long it takes to hang one by the toes until truth drops from his lips..."

A smile and bow to her lord, then she moves to the tracks Bosco left and tries to follow them, and see if they shift to human looking feet
