One judge called your submission 'somehow both classic and innovative' another called it 'strength wrapped in beauty' and the last judgge said 'among the least stupid and sucky among the rest of these drek submissions'. Guess which Judge was the nocker? This is your prize. You weren't there to get Pennons bucks, so they gave you this instead"

Willy looks at the box with suspicion. "Don't Lord Adien want it?"

"Baroness Nadeen is having your scroll of victory laminated. You want to look in the chest or what?"

She approaches it and looks it over.

Why there some of the best quality copper she's ever seen, and starmetal too, though in smaller amounts. Is that Hydra hide? Looks like. Right next to the Ostrich leather. "I would hope not, would suck to get a prize like that. Me? I won 300 Pennons bucks which I had to use on site. Gave one hundred to Arty to buy books for the hold. Because he was put in charge of that" She sighs "He bought ONE book with it"

"Maybe the book is worth it. I don't know. It's just.. I said get some books for the library, he gets the most expensive book he can find. I realize there's such a thing as quality over quantity but he's always so hyperfocused on whatever hits his head."

She shakes her head and observes "Is Copper good for anything in your profession?"

"Soft as a baby's ass." she says "Conducts electricity good. Could use for jewelry."

"Huh. Didn't know you worked with the soft metals, but I guess yeah, you could adorn stuff with it." She nods "Hey, can I ask you something about Thistle?"

"Who? Oh, the newb. Yeah, what about her?"

"She thinks everyone is pressing her to create again, I suppose we might be collectively without knowing what the others are doing. The Baroness had a kiln put up for her she asked before Thistle completely lost her nerve, but now she won't a damn thing. Thinks all she's good for is Fixing. YOu eever meet another nocker before like that?"

"Not for long." Willy frowns.

"I don't know how to help her. Sure, she wants to be left alone, but it's gotten WORSE even whenn folks don't talk about it."

"I guess -Fixin'- stuff is ok." Willy sits back on her heels. "Like, temporarily. Better than nothin'."

"I hope so, but.. I don't get your kith and I'm at a loss. Maybe she'll find the strength to try. I's like that son of a bitch has gaslit her. .Her mouth opens, HIS words come out"

"Could be that knowing her Name would help, but she might not last that long." still frowning.
