“Mm. Will you be attending the, ah- get together?”

Aiden cannot say he really understands the significance of the passing of this mantle, but Nadeen seems to find it important.

"I really should, the Mountain was always kind to me. And he was always willing to answer questions about myth annd magic. "

“Should a gift be sent to the new Mountain?”

“WOULD a gift be accepted, rather?”

"I think it would be, they DO trust me... " A smirk "And I think they've warmed on you, a small amount"

"What might you suggest as appropriate? The Mountain is... their shaman? He is a Knight, yes, but I do not know what rank 'mountain' may confer."

"Well, think of him as a Seer and Priest combined"

"A seer." He ponders this.

"And as a man, how would you describe Sir Franklyn?"

A small smile. "I promise, this is not intel gathering. I would let you know if that were the case."

"Reserved, free with lore and advice, but sometimes beats around the bush so long it grows into a redwood"

"Has he hobbies that he might be turning to now that his duties are lessened?"

"He's hitting the road again, he's a trucker. "

"I would offer seers tools... I find little use of them myself. But those may oft pick up traces of the user, and are not wise to regift but from mentor to student." Musing out loud. "And as the established magician of a Lodge, he might scorn such a gift. No, that would not do."

"Perhaps... something to remind him of home, when away? A writing set. Pen and ink, for postcards?"

"The latter would better" She says "The Mountain is.. retiring from that role, a new one ascending"

"Would a store-bought present be more accepted? As, perhaps, untampered?" He thinks politically. "Else, you might find a feather from one of our larger raptors - the Gyr perhaps? Julius has silver nibs, and the knowledge of how to make a writer's quill. He could show you."

"About the raptors... I've been taking over them... we'll need to discuss later if I take that under my full duties or we hire someoe. But yes, a feather from one of our fine birds . Mmm"

"And for the incoming Mountain?"

"Does he ride? Hawk?"

"He's a writer, and teaches French. I don't think he's much into riding but he can ride. He mentionned trainig as a Beaumayn ... no hawking"

"Mm I think he might be fine with something storebrought"

"No quill for the writer?" Pondering. "A leather bound notebook then, it can be embossed with his name or sigil. Two made to match, quill and book. There's a symmetry there."

"Our I could get him a book of jokes."

"Jokes?" He seems a bit baffled.

"You know best." The Baron allows.

"He's a quirky sense of humor," A shake of her head, "But I'll find something. Now," She stretches "I grow tired. I think I shall.." A glance at him "To bed"

"Ah. You need your rest." He looks at the pile of paperwork still awaiting his attention.

"Ah," She eyes the paper work "mm tell me, is Passion before Duty still a belief?"

He furrows his brow considering this - and then - LIGHTBULB. The paper is pushed aside, and he joins her! "Always."

A pleased look, "I'll help you with the duty later... after the passion," And with an inviting glide Nadeen leads him to the bedroom

A soft chuckle, and the door locks behind them!
