And finds her, Dame Lavender, when she's not dating a certain prodigal or on patrol, is most comfy either at the stables. And today she's playing her musical instrument softly for the horses

He strides in, pausing for only a moment outside of one of the stalls, where a plaque is up with the names of fine Silverwolf steeds gone by. The Baron looks over the names, and frowns, before turning back to greet Lavender.

He does wait until her song is finished.

The knight finishes it up, and bows "My lord" The satyress gazes at him earnestly, "Forgive my leisure, the horses sense the tension and I thought to ease them" And myself

He nods at that, and gets straight to the point. "I would have you under take a mission for me."

"Then it looks like I'm on a mission, my lord. I got the perks, I do the work," A smile "you've never been less than honest with me, my lord and I'm grateful. What do you require of me? If it's the one eyed thief, I'm afraid I saw no hide nor hair"

"Not as such. We have secured a breeding agreement for my Ovcharka dam, Mischka. The original plan was to have Baroness Nadeen accompany her to Rivervale, but I find I have strong need of her by my side. With your friendships there, do you feel you would receive appropriate welcome for your rank and person, to adequately represent Silverwolf in this manner?"

D'Lorean is surprised, she's a horse gal, but she likes the dogs and has had enough training with them they respect her "I think I would, my lord. Joust Club was welcome there, at least by Dame Dagmar, and the Baroness there values Dame Dagmar's word and opinion."

A nod. "You will not be asked to handle the dogs. Fledge Gwen will accompany you for that duty."

"Gwen's good, you've taught her well. She seems to have a gift with handling dogs, though she lacks Briar's 'one of the pack' aspect"

"Thane Linnea wishes her to know more of Troll Lodges." He says, and adds, "And I will have her observe, and report back, her opinion on how a... seelie-led hold conducts their business, to such extent that a Three-day may allow."

Lavender may suspect he means 'Gwydion', but it goes unsaid.

A smile "My lord? Should I wear black and silver just to remind them not all proud knights serve summer lords?" Wondering if he'd get a kick out of that

He thinks about this, and smiles. "I would not require it of you, as you are not sworn to Hold or House, but... it would very much please me if you would both bear Silverwolf's emblem and colors."

"An honor" the Knight smiles and bows

"Three days should allow adequate time for business to be conducted between the hounds. If more time is... desired by sire and dam, you may request such on sufferance of the Baroness Shacklebreaker. Fae hounds may wish to become acquainted beyond the instinctual requirements of normal dogs, though - Mischka will be in season, which may smooth inroads. Please bow to Gwen's judgement in this manner."

A small amused smile, and he adds, "Fledge and teen though she may both be, one who wishes to handle animals must surpass any shyness on natural acts of necessity to breeding."

A chuckle "Nature will have it's way, " And a nod "And yes, Lord. I'll yield to Gwen's expertise as your proxy when it comes to the dogs. If danger arises however I will , forgive, do my best to save her and the dog in that order. I doubt it will, but merely, well, I am a knight, always was in my heart, and knights don't let their charges face danger first"

He nods. "A fledge must be protected, and if Mischka is not well able to protect herself, as well as both of you, then she is not the dog I thought she was."

"Although... she should leave Ivan behind. He is fae-blooded, and wise enough to know his mother, but still, it may not ease tensions if another male attends."

"Actually. Strike that." He shakes his head. "Let Gwen choose. If there is a problem, I will know how she handles it."

Dame Lavender "Dee" D'Lorean, she of many names nods, "Yes, Baron. I think the biggest problem with Gwen is she will worry about the rest of you here while we are gone. She's a 'fixer' my lord, already beating herself up for not being her to stop the thief"

“She must also know to focus on the duty at hand.” He nods. “It is a true need and test of her skills, not merely an edifice to remove her from potential danger. See that she knows that.”

"I'll remind her, Baron" A promise implied "Is there anything else? And.. how soon do we leave?"

“Today, if you are able. Tomorrow, if you must delay.”

"I can do it, Today. Did you want to inform Gwen or shall I?"

“Please let her know. If she has questions you cannot answer, she may address them to me.”

And off goes the knight to her duties and to fetch the Fledge and her pooch

“I will have Nadeen let them know you are on your way.”

Calculated, this way if the Lodge expresses that this is not an ideal time, it may be harder to refuse when they are already en route.

And if the there is some , ulterior motives involved to taking a knight and fledge away, who is to say?
