Bluebell comes up and fetches the toddler - he sniffles still, but she wiggles her whiskers which makes him distracted long enough for the babe to be whisked away.

Nadeen moves towards where her handmaiden went, hand on her sword

Aiden follows at her side - he has no sword with him, but he will not let his lady stride where he fears to tread.

She opens the door where the boy was pointing at

The door swings open.... and within?!

A room... dim, lit only by the faint light filtering in through the shuttered window.  Drop cloths covering furniture, dust on the sills.

A confused look to Nadeen, and then back to Rochallor.

Movement, then - a figure on the floor next to the bed - a 4 poster deal, the covers opulent though dusty. A soft groan from Flo.

"Flo? WHat happened?"

She murmurs something unintelligible, but after a moment, can be roused to sit up. She blinks in confusion - hazel eyes watering from the dust.

"Where is 'Rian? We were... making cookies?"

She kens the woman

Flo is enchanted, and... cold. She glows a little with magic that is reminiscent of that which Nadeen has been chasing all over for months now... but not much... and not nearly enough to account for what Rochallor has lost.

"My Lady? And My Lord?" She says, belatedly seeing Aiden, and she struggles up into a curtsy.

Nadeenn helps her up "Your son is safe"

"Rochallor said that you were in danger." It's not quite what he said, but... he also offers a hand.

Flo shakes her head. "I don't know, m'lord. I was in the kitchen, then I was here. Where's here, begging your pardon?"

"Upstairs" Nadeen swallows. "Dahlia did this" a mutter

"M...my lady?" Flo looks baffled. Aiden looks stern. "Can you assist her? I will take Rochallor to the balefire myself."

"I shall" She nods

He turns and starts to lead the boy. After they go down the stairs and have turned a corner, he stops, and reaches to clap Rochallor on the shoulder. "I do not know what you faced there, but it was brave of you to face it again. Come now, you will rest by the fire until all is right once more."

Leading the pooka through the hallways that twist and turn and hide the bale from common sight.

He follows "I... I don't like not flo"

But he smiles a the praise "Thank you, my lord"

"I don't know who, or what, you saw. However, they will not go unpunished for this insult. Remember, chin high. You are of Silverwolf now. We protect our own."

As they go further into the hold, it gets a bit chilly. Air Conditioner, perhaps? Or maybe they're underground.

"Circle Circle dot dot, now I've got my monster shott" He muters annd makes the gesturee

Soon, though, the doorway to the room with the Bale opens, and the fireplace, blazing merrily, greets them, and any chill is at bay. Aiden pulls a large chair over before the fire, and fetches a blanket as well.

"I will have dinner brought to you here. Would you like company, or would you rest?

"Company is good. You're a ... you're a nice tyrant... thank you" He looks glad for anyone to be here "My lord..she said horrible things, like you killed her with a tireiron. I...understand what's going on but Joe's confused"

Aiden clearly does not understand. But he does listen, drawing up a seat next to Rochallor.

After a time, he pulls up the blanket. "Now, you will rest. You will sleep well, and regain your strength. And you will only have pleasant dreams." He says, lacing the order with a touch of Dictum.

And the boy falls asleep "good night dad"

"Good night..." He starts to say, and then... he blinks. There was a name there, but... it's gone.

A sigh, and he stroke's the boy's head. "Pleasant dreams, Rochallor."

and Roch is already sleeping

A chill flickers outside the doorway... but the Dictum... seems to keep it at bay. Aiden does not notice, as he leans against the boy's chair... gazing into the Balefire flickers, and searching for answers he does not find, in his own mind, or in the flames.

Meanwhile....

"I swear, My Lady, Baroness, on my heart, I don't know what happened." Flo looks terrified, and it scares her more that Rian seems hesitant to go to her at first.

Linnea reports back from patrol, as does Danica.

"No sign of any intrusion to the East, North, or borders of Dark Gate." Says former.

The latter adds, "Nothing to the West or South, and an APB on that description. If there is any one-eyed man anywhere on the roads from here within 100 miles, he'll be brought in. Though, I suspect he may not be taking Mortal transport."

Nadeen strokes her handmaid's hair "I think maybe it's best you work at the house for a day or two"

Danica frowns, but Linnea nods. "Reinforced wards, and Dani can have a patrol lookout?" She suggests.

"I'll reinforce the wards att the house..." A nod

"And I will have the patrol set." Danica finishes. She exchanges a glance with Linnea - something in troll.

The Sidhe tries to translate. She's lodge trained dammit. She knnows the expressions for 'Coffee first' 'Make it so' and 'What did Siv do now?'

Danica - Shut UP
Linnea - NO, you.
