Coradel watches the antics of the foal and speaks to him, words of praise and approval, making sure he can hear her...and keeps an eye on Missy.

When the mare seems to have relaxed a bit, she moves a little closer.

The little foal flares his nostrils and finds his way to Missy's side, stealing a dandelion near where she grazes. His scent mixed with the scent of the Nice Hands that were stroking him.

Coradel murmurs a little sing-song rhyme, "Thirty white horses on a red hill. First they champ and they stamp, and then they stand still." She didn't want to Whisper the mare earlier, but she does now. "I hope you will stand still and speak with me now."

The mare glares.. but with less hate

"I would like to explain. The body you see and smell here did horrible things, yes. But the person who was within this body is gone. She is not going to return. I am a different person, and I only found out what she did to you a few days ago. Had I known, I would have sought you out sooner. Do you understand?"

"Not a wink" She replies "You smell like she who beat me, the unworthy one. The coward who I should have caved in with a hoof. But you do act differenttly. If I tilt my head I almost see a glow about you"

A nod. "I understand it can be hard to believe, but it is true. I don't know of any other way to convince you...but I also don't know that I need to convince you. You are alive." She smiles. "I had been led to believe that you had died years and years ago. But you live, and your foal is healthy and grown, and she is in foal herself. Chloe did not win. You outlasted her."

"My line cotinues? " ears perk

"YES." An enthusiastic nod. "The person who cares for your daughter treats her like a great treasure, and your grand-baby will be born into a place of comfort and security. He is well-known to the one who cares for you here. That is how I found you -- he sent me here. So...yes...your line continues. Now I would ask...is there anything you would wish that I can provide? I know you are well cared-for here, but I would know if I can do anything."

"The glow, share it" She almost demands impeiously

Coradel blinks, then nods. "I can do that. Share it with you?"

"I will not bite you, though you'd deserve it. Share"

Coradel crouches down to pull up a handful of the sweet grass, and she blows upon it to imbue a bit of her own glamour into it. She offers it out to Missy. "Please...have some."

Missy bites it, chews, then... as the enchantment takes to her...and some grass falls "You're not her. You are... you drove her away?" Annd the colors on the mare's coat glitter. She IS a fae steed

"I wish I could say I had the honor. That was another's doing...but in her absence, I took her place in this body," she says with a gesture at herself.

"An improvement. She was evil. And I am sorry for nearly caving your skull in tonight. Can you help the little one?" A look at the blind foal

"She was, and you are forgiven." She looks at the colt. "Was he born without sight?"

"Well, my goodness!" Shelly says, as glamour flickers and she comes back in. "Now that's a horse of a different color, to quote a wise man."

And htat's when the whisper fades.. but the enchantment does not

"You certainly calmed milady back down proper." Shelly is Impressed. "Then again, I could tell you knew horses, or I'd not have left you with my angels." She admits.

Coradel turns and smiles at Shelly. "We came to an understanding, she and I. She is glorious." She looks to Missy again, but refrains from petting her. That would be too much to ask yet.

And yett, Missy bumps the sidhe with ehr head, invititng a touch

A surprised laugh, and she strokes a hand down that elegantly curved neck. "As you wish, madam," she says to Missy.

While petting the mare, Coradel turns to Shelly. "The colt...you said he was born blind, correct? Due to overbreeding?"

Missy does. Much is forgiven. Shelly can tell all the stress is out of the mare

and Coradel gets a text from her hubby

"That's true. Bad breeding, they got the color they wanted, but ignored the warning signs about mixing high white with x/x dilute silver." Shelly seems somewhat antsy, but perhaps too polite to interrupt, she keeps peeking back at her phone.

Coradel is surprised she was able to get more than one pet in, that Missy is actually welcoming more. She is happy to oblige...until her phone pings the melody associated with August.

"Oh...that's my husband. A moment..." She takes out her phone and takes a look. "Hm. I'm going to have to leave. Shelly, I'd very much like to visit again. And I'd like to see if something can be done to remedy the little one's sight. I know it's unlikely, but I've met some brilliant people who have managed miracles."

"Oh..." She looks disappointed. "I was hoping - but no, no matter." Putting on a cheerful smile. "You are welcome to visit any time."

"Hoping..." she coaxes the woman.

"Oh, well. It's just, you see. Your outfit, clearly you're a horsewoman, and I saw the lexus, a lady of some means. When you came to see the angels, I assumed you were looking to pick a rescue. They can't be rehomed to normal stables, not without papers, you see."

Coradel's eyes widen, and she takes a deep breath...and smiles again. "I was about to ask if you'd ever consider parting with one or more of these. Oh, yes...if she's willing, I'd very much like to take Missy with me. I am certain of that. And perhaps others as well...but I'd need a bit more time to get to know them, to get a sense of whether they'd care to come with me."

"Shelly, we must arrange this. But please...I really must respond to my husband."

"The little foal... we haven't named him yet, he's very fond of Missy." She offers with a smile. "And I need to skedaddle as well. The angel's work is never done.

We just got a report of twelve - TWELVE miniature horses, in a private lot. On asphalt. IN THE SUN. We'll have to take them, it can't wait for the police to process a request to investigate, that could be weeks. They may not have days. We could double up some of our stalls for a bit, but when you're ready for Missy, we'll be ready for you."

Boggan heritage obvious in this Clurichaun - Coradel may be glad of her phone call, as now she can escape the gossip.

"Go! Go! Find them and get them clear of that torture! And thank you, Shelly. For the work you do for them, and the happiness you have given me today." She turns back to Missy and hugs the mare's neck impulsively. "Soon. I will be back soon." Then a quick ruffling of the foal's forelock, and then she turns to leave the paddock. A nod to the stallion as she goes, as well!

Missy nnickerrs softly

"Don't worry, Miss. She'll be back, I know the look. You've got her caught on your hook." Shelly winks to the horse and escorts Coradel back to the car.

As Coradel heads out, she sees that there is already a team bustling! Even though some are mortal, they are working quick and seriously - one is leading horses to a new stall, another pulling up with a large non-descript van that says "SHELLY'S FLORAL DESIGNS" on the side, and loading... tack, water - and is that a bolt cutter large enough to cut through a wire fence?? Into the van.

Clearly they have more to their operation than meets the casual eye... or even the kithain eye.

Coradel makes sure she has Shelly's contact information, and she gives an encouraging wave to the team of rescuers as she passes. Another time, I will join them! she promises herself.

Then she texts August back. TXT: I have had the most amazing experience, and I have much to tell you! It will take a bit of troddling to get back to you, or perhaps something swifter, she types, trying to mask words enough to get through Hume's alert system. Pick a place near you, and I will meet you as soon as I can.

TXT: I'm in St. Louis. (It will take 2-3 hours to get home to Jeff City/ER)

TXT: Let's meet at home. (Meaning ER; the house is 'the house.')

TXT: Perfect! I have so much to tell you! ❤️ 💋
