A delivery arrives for Dame Calanthe. Within, courtesy of Baroness Nadeen, is an elegant black-lacquered case with silver clasps, and within a selection of very fine cosmetics indeed, from La Prairie: foundation, blush, lip color, eyeshadow. Truly, it's an indulgent assortment of luxury items. The note enclosed is, of course, in the the Baroness's words, speaking with gratitude of Calanthe's "thoughtfulness" in sending such a lovely gift, and how she could hardly accept without returning the favor in kind.
What a shame, however, when it seems that the foundation is about two shades too olive, that the lip color and blush about two shades too orange, and the eyeshadow and liner about two shades too blue.

The gift is accepted with grace, and even a bit of raised brow - reassessing, and perhaps even approval, that the gifter knows quality.

And so it is that later that evening, Calanthe sweeps down from her chambers, dressed to impress - she has plans for a night out, one might intuit, based on the outfit, the hint of perfume, and the fact that it is the night of the week when the Trod to EarthRunes opens.

...now, Sidhe always have a compelling, ethereal beauty about them. Nothing can change that... but that only means that with her current updo, unfortunate choice of what would otherwise be a quite fetching diamond-patterned gown, and her makeup...

She doesn't look like a 'clown', per say. Sidhe are not capable of that... but she DOES look like a comically jaundiced Harlequin Jester with a hot date.
