As Briar sucks down a soda, possibly a two litter (if you can chew it, you can dew it) there is a viollent shaking motion... and the soda SPRITZ all over her as if it had just gone thorugh a paint can shaker

"ARGH!" She sputters and splutters.

hoof sounds but that's not rare in THIS hold

Not rare - but is she INSIDE or OUTSIDE?

Outside...

Glass wags at her

Briar throws the bottle to the ground in anger and wipes her face on her shirt. "Glass, did you see who shuck up my soda?" She growls towards her pup.

Glass sniffss the air, bloodhounds don't stick their nose in the ground so much as some so much as catch im in the air. She woofs and wags. iis this a track then?

A too-wide smile with too many teeth. "Let's hunt 'em down!"

Like a scene out of family circus following PJ's dashes, Glass does figure eights about the outside of the lodge , goes to the stables, then goes away, then returns to the stables. All the horses are there, each positioned magnificently. There's Snowthorn, there's Moondancer, there's Bandersnatch, there's.. wait...do they have a draft breed pony?

"Huh." She hesitates before following Glass into the stables. The horses snort and stamp a little at the smell of the small monster - stale blood and worse things.

"I ain't supposed to futz with the the horses, Glass. C'mon." She starts to turn, and then stops, and turns back, narrowing her eyes.

"We ain't got no PONIES." She stomps over and snarls, "Is that YOU, Roach?"

The horse shakes its head side to side. No roaches here. check out the netflix series instead!

Of course, that might be a give away as he panics and responds to the name

Briar stomps over and shoves her arm towards the pony, reaching to grab towards his mane. Is he by himself, or in a stall with another horse?

By himself.. did not think this through. of course, even a small horse can show a lot of force as it tries to rush past or OVER the redcap in a panic

Briar was NOT expecting that, and as she's leaning forward, she grabs at the pony, but only manages to snag a bit of mane which rips loose. That's gotta sting! Offbalance she tumbles into the stall as the pony shoves past... narrowly missing a pile of dung.

The pony DOES manage to avoid the hound pup underfoot and averts a trampeling disaster as he gallops pell-mell out of the stables!

A horse squeel (OUCH) and run away

Glass howls.. all excited!

"What the hell?" Lavender comes out "Briar? What are you doing messing with the horses?"

"I -wasn't!-" Briar protests... with a fistful of mane hair.

SHe eyes the mane hair, "What's that? Hairy palms? "

Briar blinks, glares at her own hand, and drops it on the ground. " You ain't the boss of me!" She retorts.

"No, the baron is, and if he finds out you've been messing around in the stables..." Lavender taps a hoof"Now unless you want me to tell him you're carrying a hunk of horse hair for a souveiner, clean up in here then go out and wash your hands. Really, Brair, you KNOW not to futz with the horses"

"Horses are STUPID!" She snaps. "Dogs could eat horses, if they had a chance. -I- could eat a horse. Mane, tail and BONES." Loud enough to be heard outside if anyone happened to stick around. Definitely loud enough to set up a nervous nickering by a couple of the horses.

BUT, the threat of telling the baron sinks in, and Briar turns and starts cleaning up the disarray, if sullenly.

"Yes well, predators sometimes get their skulls cracked by horses too, fortunately in this case the dogs and horses and you are supposed to be on the same side" When she sees the kid has starting cleaning up she takes a breath "Thank you" And she looks over the horses to calm them, and spoil them a bit

Snowthorn snorts and shakes his head. HE wasn't scared at all, he seems to say, as he postures for the mares. Though, his eyes roll back a little when the small Redcap passes his stall to throw away a bit of trash.

As for Briar? It seems to make her feel a little better to notice the large animals shift uneasily as she moves past.

Lavender watches her go by, then pampers Snowthorn a bit more

Gwen may have heard bellowing and is peeking outside the door the lodge

The last of the scattered tack picked up and the haybale that got knocked over righted, Briar stomps out... Gwen may see her looking particularly grouchy.

Gwen asks "hey, what's wrong?"

"Everything with hooves is a, a, DAMN IDIOT!" Briar snaps. "They're FOOD that thinks they know better! And I didn't even get to finish my POP! Marigold only gives me ONE two-liter a week. ONE! EVERYTHING IS STUPID!"

"What happened to your pop that you couldn't enjoy it?" She asks calmly. Troll resovle does not make one immune to redcap anger, but it helps

"It exploded because someone shook it all up. Why we gotta have another pooka?! We HAVE one, and she knows better'n to mess with ME."

"Ooh boy" Realization, "Rocholor got you too, huh?"

She pauses, halfway ready to continue ranting. "Whatcha mean, too?"

"I mean I'm never leaving my make up kit out again, which rarely use" BLUSH

"What did he DO? That's just rude, man. RUDE." Nevermind that wasn't it just last week that Briar said she should try spray paint...

"Well, he caked on enough foundation that my copper skin looked looked like Krusty the clown, particlualry after he put the redlipstick on way way too thick. I was right. Make up's not for me"

"No WAY." Briar is cackling. "Did he take a picture? Did he, huh?"

"If he did I will destroy the evidence" Hurumph

"What if he showed a picture to yer BOYFRIEND?"

"Well, I suppose I would die of embarrassment, and then my ghost would hunt him down and shave Roch all over"

Briar looks amused by that, and then scowls again a bit. "Stupid Dame can't-pick-a-name would protect him. I only got one small hunk of his mane before she butted in."

"Lavender D'lorean, or is it Lorean Delavender? I Forget.." A pause "You know...it occurs to me the one person who might know hwo to curb a pooka is another pooka."

"Won't they just team up? Like Trolls, you guys run in packs."

"We do?" A look at herself "I don't recall howling at the moon with The thanes recently"

"Not since the Wolfenoot, right? Ha! Nah, not like wolves. Just... like and like, you know? You and them thanes, you understand each other. 'Cuz they're your kind. Like how the boss keeps all his good secrets just for the other elf-ears. Ain't wrong, it's just how things is."

"huh... maybe, but if I got out of line, the thanes would keep me in BECAUSE I was a troll and should know better. I think" She admits "I admire the thanes a lot, but I want diferent duties than them. THeirs has..what's the word? caveats"
