On the table is a mishmash of paperwork. Invoices, ledgers, some with writing in the neat, fine script that Nadeen recognizes as Julius's penmanship. And some other pages, on a notebook, that look like scrawls in cursive - the writing is not in English. The script is hard to read without examining closer, though at a glance - there are sketches though, interspaced with the notes... roses, or some viney plant? Perhaps just idle doodles.
There is a space open, in fact, right in the middle of the desk, where she can set the basket. Next to a leather-bound book that appears to have just been closed, based on it's position and the angle of the light cast onto the workspace. Closed, and latched, with a small brass clasp. Rather familiar looking, the style of the book. Has she seen one like it before?
The gown, now... it doesn't seem to be something Nadeen has seen depicted. It actually looks quite new. Calanthe moves over and smoothly places herself between Nadeen and the view of her papers.
"I see you admiring my gown. It is an original Carine Gilson."
