Briar stomps along as she escorts Blossom and Rochallor through the hallways of Silverwolf Manor. "Don't know why -I- have to show you where things are." She mutters.

"Upstairs there is where the boss and boss bitch sleep. You don't go up there. Not sure you even can, with yer weird-ass horse-butt having self. And don't go down that hall either, unless someone takes you there. That's where Boss Bitch works, and keeps her shit. You try something funny there, Roach? And she'll have a horsemeat tartar for supper and turn your hide into boots. And the balefire is down there too, but it ain't for gawkin' at by newbie KIDS. Not a lick of fire unless the Baron says you can peep it."

Despite her grumbling, she is a little enjoying the part where she can boss the other, younger childlings around.

"Oh, you said a dirty word" Blossom covers her mouth

Rochallor however nods a lot, "I'll never be funny. And I'll talk to Joe so he won't either"

"What, horse?" She snorts, amused at her own joke. An unsure glance at Rochallor. "I still don't get this Joe business. Is he or ain't he the same person as you? You got that split personality stuff going on?"

"More of a banana split personality" Rochallar assures

"I EAT banana splits..." A toothfilled grin."

Rochallor gulps and backs up

Blossom frowns "Why do you call the Chancellior names? I think she's BEAUTIFUL"

Rochallor's reaction amuses and delights Briar, and she keeps walking, giving a sidelong glance back over her shoulder at Blossom. "All elf lords are beautiful. That don't mean shit in the long run, you know. She'll chew you up and spit you out in little bitty pieces if you ain't dancin' to her tune. That's how they WORK. Ain't you heard stories of dumb mortals who stumble into a fairy ring and then are magicked to, like, dance for a hundred years until their feet fall off to amuse the elf kings and queens? Yeah, that's what Sidhe is."

"The Baron is one too, but he's kinda bad at it." She comments, and then glares at the other two. "Not that you can say BOO about him. Not here, not nowhere. Capiche??"

"I would never say anything bad about the baron" Blossom huffs, "He treats me nice, and pays attention to me" A proud look

Rochallor looks curious "So, sidhe are horrible and we should be nice to them?"

"Pretty much." She nods to Rochallor. "Guess you're not as dumb as you look."

"Well I couldn't be" Rochallor answers "My eyesight isn't that good"

"Maybe I'll get Dame Calathe flowers, then she'll like me more" Blossom ponders aloud. Apparently the warning about sidhe has gone over her head

Briar shrugs. "You can try it." She allows. "She LIKES suckups I bet." Stomping along. "Julius works in there, it's all boring shit. And that's the pantry, and the cold storage... we got more meat in the smoke-house. -I'M- allowed to work with the meat, and feed the dogs, you know."

"But the meat isn't anyone Joe knows, right?" Rochallor asks nervously

She grins. "Depends, can you identify by flavor?" She smacks her lips. "You ate a burger last night, it could haven been anyone. Ground beef ain't telling."

"It was grounded, then someone ate it?" he gasps , then comments "Folks here are strict. that's like two punishments"

"I never get punished for eatin' shit." She lies effortlessly. "Because they need me. I'm USEFUL. I do patrols and work with the dogs - they're killers, you know. RAWR!" She snaps her own jaws in emphasis. "Tear you right up if you step wrong. Gwen works with the dogs too, but she's too soft on 'em."

Blossom makes a face

Rochallor's eyes go wide, "Yes ma'am"

"Ma'am? Huh! Ma'am! I like that. You can call me ma'am. Out there is the new garden, it's boring except Lady Nadeen gets all FUSSY if you try to eat the frogs that live in the fountain. They said they might put in a pond and put fish in it, but not for eating, so what's the point?"

"Maybe one of them is a prince?" Blossom ponders

Briar thumps her belly and gives a belch. "Prince tastes like chicken!"

Rochallor sighs "Poor Kermit"

"No, not Kermit!" Blossom is horrified!

Maybe having younger kids around has it's perks for a redcap

Briar laughs and stomps onwards, amused. "That's Gwen's room, it's guarded by her big dumb dog so don't try to get in there. He'll sit on you."

"Are there any cute little dogs? Like a toy poodle?" Blossom asks "They all seem big around here"

"Glass is small, but she's got an A+ sniffer and can lead me to prey for ME to tear up. That makes her better than the bigger dogs, because they have all the fun before I catch up."

"Glass saved me "Roch says "It waas a very messy nap when she found me"

"Yeah, and if it had been one of the other dogs, they'd have ripped you right up! Say, do you think that 'cap kid I fought is coming back? He was fun to scrap with."

"He had me PRISONER" Blossom stomps her hoof "He can NEVER come back"

And Rochallor looks down at his hooves

"Yeah, well, no body's perfect. And he was fun. I bet you can't fight worth nothin'." She looks them over, then amends, "Maybe you can kick. You wanna fight? There's a place out back where the thanes go to whomp each other, and sometimes Gwen or Lavender, and it's great to watch. I don't get much practice since I bit Danica this one time." She sounds proud.

"I don't fight" Blossom shrugs "Not really, but I get to try on all these new clothes and accessories, and I can jump hurdles," A pleased look "The Baron thinks I'm amazing, and everyone cheers"

Rochallor says "Joe gets draftted some times. Mostly carrying stuff"

"But what if..." Briar lunges forward, and grabs at one of Blossom's hind legs. "Someone goes like THIS? And they're gonna eat you up!"

And Blossom lets loose a SCREAM and kicks with the other leg at the redcap!

Perhaps Briar was not quite sure what she was expecting, but the kick sends her flying and she thuds against the wall, wind knocked out of her for a moment.

And there goes a centauress fleeing for her life

Wheeze, "That was kick... ass..."

Rochallor blinks as the Centaur runs off, then looks at that cap, "Can Joe have your stuff if you're dead?" his tone is worried

The sound of sharply tapping footsteps - not unlike the click of hooves on the tile, and Calanthe turns the corner, looking annoyed. "What IS going on here?" She demands, irritation clear in her voice. "I was in the middle of a very delicate working. Explain the interruption."

Rochallor gulps "A Matta startled Blossom"

"What's "A Matta?" She snaps, annoyed, as she moves over to look down at Briar. Not reaching to touch the girl - either from distaste, or simply wisdom. "Briar, stand up. If you are injured, I will send for a thane."

Briar is already heaving her way back to her feet. "Ain't... NOTHIN'." She rubs at her chest ruefully.

"Nothing's a matta here, we swear" The boy nods

She blinks, and makes a sour face, like she had bit into a lemon. Straightening back up, a glance around the hall. "Where is Blossom?" And then a sharp look down at Briar. "If you injured her with your tomfoolery, that would be most unwise."

Briar scowls. "Like Roach said. Ain't nothing going on here." Calanthe turns her glance on Rochallor. "Is that so?" Fingertips tap on crossed arms.

Rochallor swallows, "Briar was just telling Joe to never go to your places" He looks at the area that they were warned about
