Nadeen feels a bit foolish, but here she is, looking about the woods closest to her new home. Kennning trees

"Miss Dru?"

The forest is beautiful this time of year - an explosion of green shots and blossoms.

She does admire it, "How gorgeous" At her side, a bag jingles with what sounds like loose change. Coins yes, bouncing inside

The wildlife here are bold - perhaps, like the beasts of a unicorn's forest, they know they are protected. A rabbit studies the Varich, nose a-wiggle.

"Hello," She smiles a the rabbit "I have a friend who you might know, she dances well. Have you, perchance, seen Dru?"

Then.. the rabbit hops off to the west!

"If I end up having tea with a with a insane Milner, well, it's on me I suppose for doing this," She follows the rabbit, not chase, that would alarm, but a brisk pace at a certain distance.

There is a small clearing - or rather, a canopied space. Nadeen finds herself in a temple of emerald light as the sun filters through the branches high, high overhead.

"Lovely" She says gazing all around

Indeed, the Tree at the center of the clearing is a giant. Dagmar and the Chief together couldn't encircle its trunk with their arms.

She kens it, cautiously.

It GLOWS, bright as a balefire.

"Hello, Lady Nadeen." Dru is perched up in one of the mighty branches.

"Hello, Miss Dru! I come to know you, and confer, as it was in the old times when our people made pacts and alliances, and I bring gift." She offers the bag of loose change "Your people still love numbers and counting?"

"I know one of the Sun's children would not betray my home."

"Never, such a betrayal would quickly spread to the others of the slow empires, and rightly so, damaging my good name. Destroying old trusts" She agrees

"Is it not a beautiful spring?"

"Glorious!" She admits and looks about, "Rich with wet and sunshine in just the right amount"

"I knooowwwww." She stretches, luxuriously. "And I am awake to enjoy it!"

"Come, I have robins!"

"Oh my, they must be in a gay mood indeed," She says ready to follow, and glad she wore an oufit suitable for hiking, and if need be, tree climbing

Dru climbs down part-way to offer the sidhe a hand up.

And the Varich takes the hand "Thank you"

Dru doesn't wear shoes, and walks as easily on the branches as if they were the ground. "She has so many babies! Hello, lovely!"

"I won't alarm her will I?"

The robin mama is ensconced in her nest, looking warily at Nadeen.

"Hello, little mother of future song. I am Baroness Nadeen, Dancingsnow .. "

Chirrup?

"She's a friend, yes."

" A blessing for you from this daughter of winter, may your children always find at least one warm wind come winter"

"A good blessing. I have squirrels, too, but they are not home."

"Squirrels seem to fend for themselves"

"Oh, they are MOST bold."

"Brazen little creatures" She agrees "It is so hard to feed the birds without those little raiders snitching the lot" A chuckle, then a smile at the robin "Thank you for sharing this sight with me. I find I miss some of the birds of Rivervale. Maybe a few more birds will be near the hold now that there is life in the old garden"

"Oh? I thought I felt Spring..."

"You did, would you like to see?"

"I do like gardens. Too tame, sometimes, but so many growing things..."

"Part of the beauty is the harmony I think. At least to the eyes of we changeling. That balance between wild and what others would call civilization. It's a dance that moves oh so slowly."

A laugh. "Slowly? Oh, I think so very fast."

"Perspective..." She smiles "Come, I'll show you."

"Alright!" Happily enough.

And so she leads Dru to the lodge, as she does talking how things are going

Dru has stories! It seems she knows every vine, every beehive, every fox, every brook...

"Oh, good. She needed to grow."

She beams "I concur" As they get to the garden, it awaits.
