Briar grins up at Nadeen. "Imagine what you could do with that power though? No need for a get-away driver! And you can get into ANWHERE!"

"Don't like someone and don't wanna eat 'em? BOOM! Into the lava."

Flo stands, staring aghast at the two of them, Briar sticky with gore. "My lady! Are you injured?"

"Only anywhere we already knew of but.. oh no Flo, we're fine justt.. messy"

"Thank goodness! Miss Briar, shall I run you a bath?"

Briar gives her a wary look, and looks up at Nadeen. "Is she serious?"

Flo has started settling in to her routine at the hold, though it's still her first few days. Though at first she looked a bit lost when Nadeen left, Marigold quickly stepped in and started to train her on the ins and outs of taking care of the basic chores of the hold. Though her second previous service was more tailored to waiting on a lady... and her most recent service has not been discussed... she is quite capable to handle household chores, which takes a bit of work off Marigold - and frees up Gwen and Bluebell as well, who have been pitching in.

"She is. She's tryingg to do her job politely and properly," Nadeen says to the childling "And she does work you don't have to now so I wouldnn't roll my eyes too much a her." A sniff "And you COULD use a bath"

"Miss Briar." A snort. "MISS BRIAR." Trying it out, but shaking her head. "How about Briar the Bloody? Briar, Butcher of Beasts?"

"Butcheress? Butcherette?"

"I got to kill pigs today! SQUEEEEE!" Giving an ear-splitting rendition of the sound one of them made. And she unceremoniously plops a bloody sack of meat into Flo's arms. The Kinain pales a bit, but then nods at the mention of 'pigs', thank goodness. "Butcher should be gender neutral, Miss - Butcher. I'll just... take this to the kitchen, and then run you that bath."

"Thank you, Flo" Nadeen says

"Of course, my lady." She tries to bow, almost drops a string of sausage, gathers it up, and heads in.

"Is that a sidhe thing? Getting your own personal goon? Or do I get one too once I'm a wilder?" Briar watches her go.

"It's a sidhe thing." Nadeen says JUST a bit smug

A small frown, but she shrugs. "I can do my own work. Or borrow yours." Grin. "Do I gotta wash my hair?"

"I think it looks better like this."

"Wash your hair. What we need to do is find a hat you like, then you could dip IT in blood. It's part of your heritage, or so Dirk told me. Every Redcap has at least one redhat ready for war"

She ponders this. "Then I can keep the bloody hair until I get a hat!" Luckily it's still cool out so she hadn't started to really stink yet... but it is a bloody odor.

"Take the bath or I'll tell Bluebell she's free to water balloon you and call it civic duty"

"And I mean wash the hair too" to be clear

A HUFF. "Only because you took me to the farm and I got to murder pigs."

"Thank you" She says

"Yeah yeah." Briar heads in, leaving messy footprints - she kicks off her boots, but somehow she got blood IN her boots too, and red sock prints follow her.

After Briar is entubbed, Flo heads back out with an armful of clothes that need to go straight in the wash, on cold. Then she returns to the main hall with a mop, tackling those footprints with proactivity, before anyone can ask.

"Thank you again, Flo" She says a bit chagrinnned

A smile at Nadeen. "It's my duty, isn't it? That is, if you don't have need of me elsewhere?"

"Noththing to compare with hurricane Briar"

Flo shakes her head a bit. "She's just a little girl, but so much... energy. She'll be a force to reckon with, someday."

"Indeed, little lady feels she has a lot to prove I think. Not tha she would admit it"

"Still, she must have some respect for you - she DID get in the bath. Though I think it will look like a murder scene when she's done."

"Yes, sorry about that. And let's hope. I need that respect to my part around here"

"If there is any way I can help, my lady?"

"You already are"

"Then I will do my best." A smile. "Oh, Marigold asks if there was anything specific you wished from those, um. Cuts, that Briar brought home. They are very fresh."

"Oh goodness. I have no idea. I didn't think the Chieftain was going to teach her math by counting sausage or whatever." A nose wrinkle

"Did she learn the math?" A small smile.

"I don't know, very likely, to be fair if anything will encourage that girl to learn it's a way to use the knowledge for brutality and intimidation. Gwen knows her better than I, but redcaps are born of hungry fierce dreams"

A solemn nod. "They were not often present at court... but they were used as hunters and enforcers in Hibernia. Briar is the first I have really started to get to know up close."

"Never assume a redcap is 'tame' and never ever say that word to describe one of them. They have removed hands with a bite for less."

Her fair skin pales a little, and she nods. But looking to Nadeen, "I know my lady will protect me. But I will be sure not to make any mistakes to cause you trouble."

Nadeen says "Sometimes bad things happen even when one makes no mistakes. You're off to a fine start. Trust Marigold if I'm not around. " A curious look "how are you liking your work? "

"It's a lot to learn, but I don't mind." She admits. "Marigold started by showing me your chambers, and then the laundry. Did you know that the lady Chancellor only allows all-natural cleanser for her clothing? And for Miss Bluebell, nothing with a strong fragrance. Miss Gwen's bedding must be shaken out before it is washed to ensure that there are no stone chips. I've seen the thanes at practice - they are a bit frighteningly strong. And I'm afraid I can't keep their names straight yet. And I haven't seen most of the hold - just the washrooms, kitchen, and the common chambers. I was not sure if I should go up into the nobles rooms, though it seemed to bother Miss Marigold to go up and down those stairs." This last, said in an undertone.

As she chats, she is not idle. Lightly taking Nadeen's jacket and smoothing it out, hanging by the door. Her shoes taken and brushed clean.

A nod "I see. " A nod "I do not think you should ggo into the other nobles rooms without their express permission. However, I will talk to the Baron. If it spares Marigold steps I think there's merit inn it.

"

"Or perhaps, a laundry chute installed?" She suggests. "It make take a little construction, but it would save some work for Miss Marigold."

"Though, the chambers will still need tidying." A sigh.

"Yes, they might" She ponders the idea of sharingg Aiden's chambers Once we're together, It'll be one main room to clean there and she'll have reason. you See, Aiden, you should take me as a lover for so many reasons, including it being easier on Marigold

and the kinain might be confused to see the little pleased smile curl up at something.

The little smile is noted, but Flo just smiles inwardly as well. The great lords and ladies have their own agendas that may not be shared with the lower servants.. but a happy mistress is always a good sign. "Will I be presented to your Lord? Marigold says that he seldom spends much time at the hold apart from working in his office, and that I should not interrupt him in his work. I would not wish to upset the Baron."

"We really should introduce you sometime, true, but it maybe rather informal"
