"Would that be spying?" She whispers, cautiously.

"Not if she's reaching out to you I don't think"

"Not to me." Lizbet admits, shaking her head slowly. "I do not... think so. Not to me. Or not FOR me? But... it is too loud. And too much." Glancing up, she sees that they have come to a fork in the road. "You may say I am welcome.. yet. I think if I were to stay there... it would drive me mad to hear it."

"What does she say? Please." She adds

Simply. "La Llorona... She weeps."

"La Llorona, she weeps" She memorizes it "Sounds spanish.. do you have any idea of what she's trying to say?"

A slow shake of her head. "It was not said. It was heard. Weeping. It reminds me of la llorona. The weeping woman. The one from the stories... it varies. Some say she was a rusalka. Others, just a ghost. I do not know."

"Sounds familiar, but Dahlia's ghost is crying, Lizbet, I thank you. If Dahlia suffers in the here after, I have to find a way to free her from it."

"Who is Dahlia?"

"She was the kinain the baron was wed to before. I owe you that much lore. Mr. Aberdeen probably knows more"

"The dead wife." She nods slowly - perhaps approvingly - it is a fine start to a ghost story. "But who is with her?"

"There was more than one?" Surprise

"It was loud." She repeats. A touch nervous now, perhaps at the questioning. "I should go home."

"Lizbet, you go on home if you want... but I want to thank you. You may have helped me help someone... and..." A breath "While I am just a fledge. I'm in your debt. You're a good person. Thank you..." and she adds "Also nice to meet a teen age changeling around here. " She walks her to the border of the hold lands and seems to be protecting her

"Do not talk of debts... " She warns, cautiously. "If it goes poorly for you... I do not want that debt to come back to me."

"I wouldn't blame you for my screw up" she says "But okay. Fine. " A thought "I will try to get a thermos of Marigold's best tea and bring it to you somewhere if you like? "

"If you help them? It would be a good thing. They are restless. Anyone sensitive to them will be ill at ease. But even if not. It would be right to do."

"It would" she says and.. a smile "Thanks. Hope we can be friends even if Briar didn't make a great impression"

And she motions to the now clear road to safety

"Perhaps." She allows, and heads off down the road, casting careful glances around her until she disappears around a corner. If the ghosts don't eat you. Or that Redcap...

"Wish I could walk that softly" A sigh

And she goes back to do damage control if need be. Lizbet seems nice. I wonder if any troll and sluagh could make good friends? too bad I don't have any examples
