And D'Lavender? She laughs "Don't worry, Bluebell, he might work up an appetite somewhere else, but he eats at home"

Her brown noses twitches, and she pouts, but relents with a smile. "I know all his favorite recipes."

Lavender says "Damn straight and he better never forget it" A nod and smile

Nadeen changes out of her outfit carefully and back innto her clothes before returning

As for Gwen, "Done yet?'

The troll has been patient with the redcap

"It's done... I think?" She shakes out the green and red sequined cloak and pulls the hood over her head - the diamond is now more-or-less centered between her brows. "HISSSS!" Lunging forward and clacking her teeth just shy of Gwen's arm.

Gween actually does flinch just a bit. Which she knows is sure to make the redcap happy.

"Okay okay, good costume, it works"

"It's PERFECT. I need more menacing rattles."

Lavender says "Too bad we can't get you Dame Calanthe's hair rollers" then she adds "For the record, I'm JOKING"

"Do you think Dick's coming?"

"Who is.. oh, DIRK?"

"He's with rivervale, probably goiing to theirs" Lavender says, and an amused look "Does someone have a cr-"

'CRACKING good story about some of her own exploits, yeah..." Gwen says shooting Lavender a LOOK "Briar's done some scary redcap stuff that might impress other redcaps"

"AH!" A nod from the satyress

"No." She says, disgusted. "I meant Willy. You know. DICK." She brightens up a bit. "Do you think Dirk WOULD come??"

"I'd show him my bone saws."

"Oh, Willy didn't seem interested" Gwen sighs "I think I am not very good with nockers"

"I think she's only good with telling which wrench is the right one to tighten up her own ar-"

"Briar!" Marigold - when did she slip back in! Only her voice could sound so mildly disapproving and yet make the redcap flinch like a whipcrack.

Nadeen observes "mmm, from what I saw, Willy had set the workshop to fine order. Perhaps she's just a private person?"

Briar mutters something, but quietly, and that appeases Marigold. The Boggan will not try to change how the Redcap feels, but one can at least attempt to be polite.

Gwen shrugs and sighs. Clearly Willy is a prickly riddle wrapped in a snarling enigma wrapped in a hostile conundrum to her "I thought maybe she was lonely. Guess I got that wrong"

"I'll be sure she knows she is welcome, and we'll have extra masks and cloaks if she decides she wants to come. That's all we can do." Marigold says reassuringly to Gwen. "And -I- appreciate that you tried."

gwen shrugs again. "Might be better if I hadn't, but thanks"

Nadeen has gotten back to helping with stitching

The Varich says "We... they don't have many nockers are Rivervale either. "

"However, I can tell you, they are amazingly creative and a lot of who they are is tied to what they do, and there's a beauty in it. They can be insulting, but if you look, you can find they are hardest on themselves"

Gwen mms but says nothing

Briar rolls her eyes. "Gwen, do you want help on your stupid costume or can I go play now?" She demands, the nicest way she knows to offer.

"I got it, go have fun, and.. thanks" Gwen says.

"YEET!" Briar chucks her costume onto the floor and runs out.

Bluebell leans over to pluck it from the floor. "To be so young and enthusiastic..." She says, dryly.

"I don't know why I like her, but I do" Gwen admits

Gwen is workingn on her own oufit

Bluebell raises an eyebrow - and an ear goes up at the same time, possibly not consciously. "Are you sowing secrets there?"

Glancing while still appearing not to peep.

"Who me?" Gwen says yanked out of her htoughts and focus

"Nobunny here but me." Bluebell smiles.

She blushes "Uhm.. well, Marigold suggested diamonds for me"

"And I thought about it... uhm what's yours?" Nosey and..trying to deflect

"The white rabbit would be too obvious?" She blinks slowly, peering out from under her lashes.

"Or march hare" Gwen says "Though maybe you want to see what Julius looks like with ears?" She blushes "You guys are going to think mine is silly"

She holds it up a poncho on it, three cards of one rank and two cards of another rank, and she explains "It's ..a Full House. Because ... you know" A blush "Family"

"Oh, foo! You guessed it." A pout! Julius shrugs and gives Gwen an amused look. "I'm wearing the ears so that Bluebell can try no a top hat and tell silly riddles."

Bluebell claps her hands together in delight. "Dealer's choice!"

Bluebell fetches a domino mask, and lightly taps four spots on it. "Hearts, Diamonds, Clovers and Horseshoes? Shall I help?"

The cards displayed do have diamonds on each set. Gwen smiles "Yes, please .."

A grin, and Bluebell starts work. Humming a tune to herself... magically delicious!
