Nadeen approaches the hold, dressed a touch more casually.

Her dog seems to be learning manners. Nadeen has been firm! Okay, sort of firm. All right, the puppy probably shouldn't sleep in her bed

She brought a car, things in the trunk. But she doesn't carry those.

She's greeted by Briar, sitting on the porch and throwing scraps of meat to a couple of the pups. They have grown in size, and are BIG puffballs now, rather than just fluffy-puffs.

"What do YOU want?" The redcap asks, a little sullen. A piece of meat goes into her own mouth, which causes a disappointed whine from one of the politely sitting pups.

"Hello, Briar," She says kindly "I thought I would pay an informal visit. Maybe bring a few gifts "Almost casual

That makes her sit up a little, curious but wary. "What kind of gifts? More shit for Gwen?" A bit of a sneer on the name there, though it may just be her lisp.

"I haven't met Gwen, actually," She says "But I have tried to get gifts for just about everyone." Pyshka wags furiously to see her brothers and sisters.

She makes a note, Gwen is new, and Briar feels overlooked. Mmm "Frankly, I doubt Gwen could appreciate all my gifts. She likely doesn't have the ..instinct for it"

Hopping down off the porch, she heads over. "What do you have for me?" Bottom jaw sticking out, hands on her hips - it doesn't look like she actually expects there to be anything for her and perhaps looking for an excuse to start a fight over it.

"This way" She says to her puppy "Be good, Pyshka, don't eat your brother's ear." And then leads the redcap to the car, She pulls out a large box that rattles indicating multple things inside. It's wrapped in vine patterns wrrapping paper and she hands it to her "I don't know if you'll like it or not, but if nothing else you have a box"

A moments hesitation - but she can't resist and is ripping the paper off to find what's inside. Ivan jumps and snaps to catch a shred of wrapping paper in the air!

WITHIN the box is a collection of .. odd things. A possible wooden figure with links where joints would be.. though figure could be male or female, and a few doll clothes of both gender are there. This might notseem too impressive... but it also comes with fake easy to clean up blood... and Chalk! Police tape that says 'murder scene' stand back. There are also flowers and little crosses with cards that say 'thoughts and prayers'

"You see," Nadeen says "You can pose the 'victim' anyway you like... make chalk outlines... " Meant to be easy to remove as well "And I leave it to you what the blood can be for. "

She looks confused at first, seeing the flowers and crosses before the rest and a quick glare to ensure that it doesn't look like Nadeen is mocking her... but this fades a bit as she sees the rest, and turns to interest. Her arms tighten around the gift. "You know I don't owe you nothing back. I ain't no seelie to repay shit I never asked for." Gruff tone at war with her grip on the box. "And.. and you can't take it back, because you GAVE it to me."

"Seelie are sometimes very foollsh" She says with a snort "Play isn't about owing, it's about passion before duty. It's yours now. you can pretend the murder victim is anyone you like"

"Or anyone you don't like" She adds

She snickers, apparently already envisioning it. And bellows towards the door, "Y'ALL GOT COMPANY!" And the other dogs set up a yapping alert, a bit belatedly.

If Nadeen harbored any doubts about whether they had sluagh at the manor, Briar's volume alone may reassure her. The redcap looks back at Nadeen, reappraising. "Boss Baron is out with th' horses again. You can go find him if you want."

"I best drop these other gifts off" Nadeen says "But thank you, perhaps after." She grabs another box "hope you enjoy, Briar. I don't know you well so I took a gamble on what you might like. But I'm not seelie either so if it's not what you like well, i won't really feel guilty" She admits

Despite her matter of fact words, she does smile and then she heads to visit Bluebell and Marigold and the thanes

She might struggle a bit with some of the cargo. I should have asked Dagmar to come along to help carry, but she's my girlfiend, not a packmule

"Honestly, Lady, I don't know if that is best. I don't even know if she's interested in visiting, to start, and we haven't tested out the trod at all. Perhaps we should wait until the Knights of the-" The somewhat timid male voice is cut off by Calanthe's retort.

"Whether or not those Rovers are doing their job should not affect MY ability to travel. If I want to take the trod, I will. I am CHANCELLOR here and that means-" She stops as Nadeen approaches.

"Baroness, what a pleasant surprise." The Ailil knight does not look pleased. A snap of her fingers. "Julius! Why have you not taken the lady's bags?" The satyr quickly moves to offer to do so, murmuring an apology as he bows.

"Julius, how kind of you to assist when you're already in the middle of something" She says to the fellow, and hands him a few of the things, admitedly probably the heavier ones "If you could take that inside ? Are either of the thanes here?"

"Chancellor, do forgive my intrusion. A rather informal one I assure you. I wanted to bring a few indulgences for the staff to thank them for their past good service and kindness. Trod troubles?"

Calanthe smoothly transitions from scolding to smiling. "No troubles at all. A delightful gift, in fact. We are now graced with passage way from our...rustic beauty, to the city lights of Jefferson. I've heard such interesting tales of the Freeholds in Missouri. I am looking forward to seeing them for myself."

Julius easily takes the packages, and sets them aside on a table - a murmur around the corner and footsteps dart off.

"Oh how lovely. Perhaps you and Sir Sergei will talk hawks more?" She says "Though I don't suggest the Key Club, bit modernist they" A sigh

Gwen catches Julius running by and goes "hey, Julius? what's going on?"

He skids to a pause. "The Baron has a noble guest. We should let Marigold know, and send word to him at the stables." Thinking quickly. "If you tell Miss Mari, I can run to fetch the lord?" So he HAS been listening to the lessons on delegating.

Calanthe casts an interested glance at the packages, but of course is much too polite to inquire. "Key Club? Do tell?"

"Sure," Gwen offers "Happy to help"

"A commoner mews in The Earth Runes area. Strong modernist mindset among many of htem" Nadeen says casually

He gives her a dashing grin, and then is indeed dashing - off out the door, at speed that would be considered break-neck for anyone other than a goat-legged kith.

"Hmph." The knight nods. "Earth Runes seems the better opportunity for networking and social engagement. Not that I would ever have any complaints about Silver Wolf, but that it is rather sad how secluded we are at times. This Trod may be Fate telling us it is finally time to rejoin the proper political circles as befits a noble hold."

"Depending on the stablity of the trod. I would not wish anyone endangered here. After all your kindnesses" Baroness Nadeen says

Gwen moves through towards to find Marigold in the kitchen, and if she sees her blurts "Marigold, we have a noble guest, or so Jules just told me. "

Marigold listens, then wipes her hands on her apron, turns the pot to low and covers and takes a quick inventory of what's in the fridge. "Would you mind taking in refreshments? It must be that nice Varich lass, if it was Sir Ivory he'd have let you know he was coming - shame on Julius for not giving you details. Well, everyone likes iced tea on a hot day - oh, and lemonade..." Half speaking to Gwen but also to herself as she gets together a couple pitchers and a plate of cookies on a rolling tray. "This should tide whoever it is over, and bless you if you'll let me know how many visitors and if they plan to stay for supper?"

"I'll let you know once I learn" Gwen assures, and takes the refreshments

Calanthe, to her credit, did not leave the Baroness standing in the hallway, and has settled down in a small, but nicely furnished library, or perhaps music room, that appears to double as a study. A piano is visible through a doorway, though it is covered.

"Do you often visit Earthrunes?" She is asking as the refreshments arrive, and gestures to the near table for Gwen to place these.

Gwen places them as directed and bows to both. She tries not to stare at this 'nice varich' but is cuirous

"Not too often," Nadeen answers

"Alas, my focuss must remain more local at times" She says

"Ah, this must be the newcomer?" Nadeen nods to Gwen.

"Hm? Oh yes." Calanthe seemed to have not taken much note of Gwen other than, 'bringer of snacks', but grants her am indulgent smile. "Young Gwendolyn is our new fledge, and impetus behind the delightful new trod - a shame that it opened in an alleyway of all places, but one must allow for such at times. Gwen, please greet the Baroness Nadeen Dancingsnow."

Gwen fights not to make a face at 'Gwendolyn', and troll stoicism helps. She bows again, stiffly, "An honor, Baroness. Uhm .. will you be staying tonight for dinner or the like? "

"Oh no, I am only here to drop off a few momentos and gifts for the staff for their competence and kindness, but do pass on my thanks" Nadeen says "Ah, I have something for you in fact. The Box with the golden bow on it"

The troll's eyes light up, then she looks at Dame Calanthe as if makin g sure she has permission

Calanthe is watching this, intrigued, and her fingers tap against the glass she has lifted. She takes a delicate sip of iced tea and nods, "Oh, please do open it."

"Baroness, your kindness to our little Gwen shall surely delight Lord Aiden. Are you sure you cannot stay for dinner?" In her politest, non-pressing tone.

The troll wilder looks at the shorter sidhe, even as a younger teen, the guardian kith towers over Calanthe and the term little' has her blink but she nods at the 'please open it' and starts to do so.

"Alas, I am torn, but i really should not occupy all of you so much"
