"But Aidenn, REALLY, think of our consequence. If we go to visit a neighboring barony without a show of force, we will look weak!" Calanthe prompts.

"I have no concern over a Gwydion holding some hours away actively plotting a hostile takeover." The Baron sounds mildly amused. "If any were to be a threat, it would be our near and dear neighbors, but the intel I have received indicates that they are, at least for the time being, still focused on the forces they need to contain within, rather than expanding outward. No. There are rumours of raids along the borders, I will -NOT- draw thanes away from protecting our lands to serve your vanity. If you need a servant, take one of the grooms, or-

"I want Bluebell." Calanthe interrupts.

The Baron raises his brow. "I thought you disliked her."

Calanthe sniffs delicately. "She is difficult at times, but she has a courtly manner and is polite, if silly and natter-brained. But such is any pooka. She can carry my things and look nice doing it, and that is all I need." Smooth, and encouraging. "And that leaves both of my guards to protect our borders. Mmm?"

"I still think a groomsman would be better... mm. But no, let's leave them to watch over the kennels. I dislike these reports, and my dear creatures are worth their weight in dross. Very well." A soft clap, and the steward standing just outside the door for a semblence of privacy steps forward.

"Julius, please prepare for a small outing - just a day trip. Calla will let you know what she needs, and inform Bluebell we would request for her to attend the lady. I'll take care of my own affairs."

The Satyr shoots a quick glance at Calanthe, before lowering his gaze. "As you say, M'Lord." The Satyr bows to him, and then a bow to the knight as well. "Lady Calanthe. It will be done."
