"I could use spring on it, but I'm better with Plants" Jack Flap says

Otto wags because well, he's a follower

Connor considers both, his tail wagging too, just out of excitement. "Lily, I think we can get away with play-pretend. If those 'spectors see what they WANT to see, that doesn't mean it is what it is, right?"

"Like..." He looks around. The half dilapidated playhouse with the sunken roof and plants growing through the windows. "We can fuddle-up that one to look like the roof is still roofy - Lane, you're too big to fit in there anyways. But the tetherball that's just a string? Maybe we could put a REAL ball on it..."

"I can hepl!" Otto assures "got one back at my dooog house"

A grin to Otto and thumbs up! "Jack, do you think you can use spring to add some spring back to the swings?" He eyes the rusted chains and decaying rubber seats dubiously.

"I need dross" Jack says looking at the swings "I'm better with plants so I need the oomph"

"Here..." Lily says, "From Miss Prime rose. " She offers a slightly bloody doll shoe

"Ugh. Yeah, this will do it" The satyr takes it

Lily whispers "I really must protest this. Can't we terrorize the interlopers instead?" Hopeful

Connor considers. "The 'spectors aren't bad guys, I don't think. but the 'vestors are the ones who want to make the park into boring old condos or something. Maybe we can give them a touch of the boo flu?"

At THAT, Lily beams at Connor. As she is a sluagh, this probably looks like running voltage along the face muscles of a recent corpse. There's a kind of twitching and it lights up a bit

"You're really quite tolerable, Connor" she says with praise

His tail wags at her, though it IS a bit disturbing!

"I got the tetherball" Otto has raced back.. partly in dog form but this last part he changed back

Connor takes the ball and works on tying it to the ropes. He knows knots! He's learned a few, anyways.

Otto fetched well! this is a high quality ball

Connor grins, and in true pooka fashion, does NOT inquire as to where the ball may have actually come from!

"Maybe we can paint the pole like a maypole in the spring!"

"Or a candy cane!" Layne says happily

Already spring magic is helping, as is elbow grease

"Or a spooooky, um... um... " He looks at Lily and ponders, then lights up! "A witches broom! Or, like, a haunted lantern..."

"go ooon" Lily says approvingly

"An eye of that Saurus man. The big spooky one that watches!"

"Brrr" Layne says shivering

'Sold" Lily says, as that does it

He looks around the park, trying to see what else might trigger the inspectors to condemn their playplace.

Well, the litter is a bit much

"Alright, Shadowplaneteers... it's time to huff and puff and stuff that guff!" Pointing out bottles and papers and detritus.

"Taking a bite out of slime!" Otto grrrs and starts to clean

"Give a hoot, don't pollute" Layne joins in

"Unless you've got puppies, NO LITTERING!"

"Sorry, Edie!" He calls to no one.

"Oh the puppies are just adorable" Layne gushes

"Like Otto and Connor used to be" Lily says a touch of mischief

A pout at Lily. "Am I old and decrepet already?"

"Sadly... not enough yet." Lily tuts

Otto looks at his his hands "Do I have the liver spots? the tasty tasty liver spots?"

Connor's ears perk up at Liver.

"Nope. Just dirt. Such a boy" Layne observes

"Yay boys! Behold... the manly power of spring" A proud look at the much newer looking stuff from Jack Flap "Like flowers, SO macho"

"No one tell him" Lily whispers

Connor giggles behind a hand. "Flowers are BOY parts too. We learnt it at the farm!"

Okay, that gets laughs all around

Jack nods "Yup. " And he looks around "I.. I could plant some flowers around here maybe to help?"
