It took a bit, trod travel required, but Zara finds herself in Codexa's lair/hoard ... it is.. impressive in size, though Zara might find the subjects not as interessting to her in some ways. Codexa's books are heavy in Geopolitical theory more so than actual fiction. But this is not without entire merit.

Indeed, Bronte moves through the hoard with delight "The Book of Three" She says, meaning the number they are allowed to claim not the actual fictional work by Lloyd Alexander

Zara admires the hoard- she, of course, has her inclinations. "This is thy victory, Darling."

And there are many to pick from. There's even a collection of Catherine the Great's rulings and Edicts if one is of a mind

and a play put in book form "The School For Wives by Molière, in French, of course

All nice - but a true prize? Might be something less... published. A portfolio of handwritten letters, a diary, a grimoire...

That is: somewhere the the knowledge therein is more rare than the physical media. A rare old book IS a prize, of course!

Codexa is being honorable enough, but can one REALLY blame her for having some of the good stuff BEHIND other books? Where it is harder to see? There in the shadows of one cranny (Yay night vision) Zara finds just the sort of thing she was looking for! Here is a correspondence of love letters written in code during World War 2 between two kithain , one on duty over seas, the other at the homefront. Oh one has to admire how the Right of ignorance was preserved by use of subtle slang

THERE is a book of mystical interest... A nocker's treastie on Chimerical Alchemy.... oh some which even Zara might Never understand, but it has notations on 'regular' alchemy, curatives and yes,notes on toxins

And a diary of the Concordance War...? Intriguing. Told from a commoner rebel's side

Oh, a difficult choice!

The Nocker book... well, a wonderful gift for Miriam, of academic interest to Zara herself...

Bronte is fluttering about , giddy as an overeducated schoolgirl

But the diary or the letters...

a fallacy, by definition, one cannot OVER Educate a school girl

Seeing Zara's own longing look, Bronte lands near her to admire the works she found

"O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy. " Clearly Bronte agrees these are good finds

"Aye. Oh, I must ponder this choice, dove. Leave me be while thou searchest. These delight and intrigue."

Bronte gives Zara's ear a lick, and then flies off to let her Librarian/writer ponder her choice
