Gerd blinks "Ah.. okay. Should not be surprised. " This slows her down, clearly she is still new to the job.

"Get the lead out, Gardner" Says the manager who is trying once more to coax a few folks to self check out lines

Kerri gives the manager a pointed look and a be-nice smile.

He seems surprised , not realizing Kerri knows the girl but smiles weakly back and goes back to convincing Mrs. Graydon that she'll LOVE self check out once she gets used to it

Gerd says clearly "yes, sir." And mutters "Lake splash temptation is great"

She also doesn't want to slow things down, though, so she starts putting her bags in her cart. "Keep me posted on how things go. If he keeps understaffing, I might write a letter next time. To his boss."

She pays the total, and gives Gerd a wink and a smile before leaving the store.

A smile and Gerd says "Thank you for your patronage"

And Kerri leaves the store. Her hearth senses tingling.

That feels very much like a good day's work.
