Julius wipes his forehead. "I'm getting tired just watching you." He says, as Buck holds up a beam overhead, and the builders move quickly on ladders to secure with a cross brace.

"I think you've saved us a lot of time. Not just what you've helped with... but the insight on proper placement to allow for larger carriage to enter comfortably. Otherwise we'd have lost weeks... maybe months in rebuilding. We have a construction permit, but to start over if we'd already done this part would take a demo permit, and that means relying on town hall, which is currently on hiatus due to COVID... needless to say, you've helped far more than required when technically your 3 day is as a guest!"

Buck turns and grins "I'm a carpenter by trade, but learned some smithing too. When your boss metionned helping THIS way I knew I was sitting pretty. So this? A pleasure"

Bluebell sits atop the crossbeam, dangling her legs with a giggle.

"My, you are a strong one, too. I'm partial to hooves, and oh, you have twice as many." She admires the biceps.

Julius rolls his eyes a bit. "Trying to make me jealous, honey-bunny?"

"Don't worry, Julius. She's just trying to get me to work for another hour by flattering me. It would probably work, then she'd go snnugle with you while I had to take a cold shower" The big man claps the satyr on the back

Julius stumbles a bit, he has Satyr litheness and stamina, but he is not a muscular fellow. "Oh, I know it. She likes me best when I'm challenged, I believe." A chuckle to Buck.

"I hope to have what you two have, a love with hope for a better future yet and appreciating the gift that is the present. I have to earn it . " A smile "Women can be hard for a simple man like me to understand, but fine. I don't have to understand her to love her."

"Don't worry. A handsome feller like you will surely find his own honey-bunny someday. We've got a bit of a surplus of ladies up here, if you're ever around for a Fete, you'll get plenty of dance partners. Steer clear from Marigold though if you don't want to be matchmade. Or, go see her, if you do."

"Acttually, I think I found her. Hope to go back to her. Mind you, you have some lovely ladies here too." A nod "But I can't go back till my quest is done"

"Well, do what you have to do. Is family the issue? You may have to steal her away, like my own runaway bride." He watches Bluebell fondly as the pooka now is standing on the beam, pirouetting gracefully up in the air.

"Family is a part of it. " He smiles and looks at Bluebell "She'd be a good on roof work. So you two met over a kidnapping? Romantic" A grin

"Her family - birth family, that is, was very traditional. She'd have been locked into an arranged marriage to suit them. It suited her better to demand - DEMAND, mind you, that I kidnap her away for-ever-and-ever. I'll be spending the rest of this lifetime making it up to her."

"Well, Miss Bluebell, I suggest you drown him in kisses and whip him in hugs. That'll teach him"

"Oh, I will teach him. He is dreadfully dull and must repeat his lessons. I am the switch that I made him cut for his own lashes, you see."

"Ha... well said" He nods "I have to say, you silvewolf folk are all right. I was worried I'd get innterogated"

"Maybe by Thane Danica." Julius glances over to where the Thane is standing facing the road, hands lightly clasped at her back as she stands on guard, out of earshot.

"Oh, she was great. Asked. I answered. She didn't act like I was a spy or anythingg"

"She's a good judge of character. Seems to like you, big fella."

"Ah..." Buck scratches his chin

"Troll ladies often seem to look for men of stature. Not that I mind, mind you. My brother, he is enamored of larger women. As for me? There's nothing as sweet as my petite."

"Well, if I didnn't have my eye on anotherr tall lady I might see if it was more than friendliness"

"Oh, I didn't realize you were spoken for. Don't worry, Dani is no poacher. She's lawful through and through."

"Fine woman to be sure" He looks a bit sheepish "Hard o believe she hasn't more tthan onne tall fellow ringing her doorbell"

"She has, but she turns most down. Some call her heartless, but I think that she's just dedicated to her work."

"Just the sort of woman I seem to find myself near" Amused att somehting

"Well, more power to you, in whatever your passion has you pursue. Just watch out for Marigold. She's got the matchmaker's bug."

"Oh? How ggood is she at it? " He asks

Julius is smiling at Bluebell. "Oh, she's not too shabby. Just ask the Baroness sometime."

"Mmm " the big man looks tempted

A boggan approaches Julius, nodding. "We're done for the day, Jules. Good work... at least, thanks for bringing good work along. And you can quit trying your hand at matchmaking. It's clear as day that this 'un has his heart elsewhere." Rolling his eyes, it should be obvious.

A loud laugh, hearty at that

Julius rolls his gaze to the heavens. "Lord protect me from boggans."

"And me." Bluebell adds with a chipper grin.

"Nothing could protect me from you, cadbury." He grins. "Let's head back, it's nearing supper time."

"Dinner time ? Mmm"

"You haven't eaten until you've tried Marigold's elk wellington..."

"ELK?" A brow "Damn. I could end up loving this place"

"Maybe I can be a matchmaker after all... culinarily at least." Julius grins, and they're off to find supper!

Annd he follows, making sure to wipe his hooves clean on the mat

The wellington is fantastic.
