So it is, Baroness Nadeen seeks out her love, the expression on her face is so cold in it's ire that one almost expects any snowflakes in the area that might fall would turn razor like

She finds him with the dogs - rumbled and dusty. He exists Mischka's kennel, and he lights up on seeing Nadeen - only to have the look fade to a worried, somber expression as he sees her mood. "My love? What troubles you?"

"I just found out some of the incidents that occurred at Bergen pennons. A tale of two Gwydions. One an honest fledge, the other a bully of low class... " And..she relates the story ,of Thistle's ire rising to their hold's defense, and Arty like wise... and of Dame Gladiola dictumed to dunk her head

Baron Alamandre Gilderlock... is his name it seems

Aiden looks surprised, and then angry. "This is what comes of accepting Gwydion 'Hospitality'. Perhaps we have been lulled into complacency by the forthrightness of those at Rivervale. I am the one to blame, to send fledges wearing a banner of Ailil into enemy grounds, even under a flag of festive truce."

"You say that Fledge Art was willing to take a pounding to defend the name of Silverwolf?" He frowns. "I hope that the boy is merely naive and ignorant, and not stupid. It would have been far wiser to withdraw and plan private retaliation to such insult, then to broach them in public, in their seat of power." Clearly Aiden doesn't see Art's 'win' so much as the potential political backlash.

"I love you darling, but you have biases," A pat on of his hand. He knows he is not so openminded as she in a few areas "It turns out Fledge Cyfiawn is one of the decent falcons, and quite deliberately threw the match rrather than take part in dishonor. In fact, I was thinking of inviting him here, Arty has few friends. But Yes, Gilderlock has crossed a line. I'll be writing a letter to Count Autumnsbane about this. And we will NOT hide our banner. Now that you've so kindly put a Sun upon it"

"The sun rose to shine upon Silverwolf on her own accord, I merely was blessed with the light." He says, softening.

A smile then it fades, "Yes, well, I had hoped Gladiola would have told us about this, but I do believe she's ashamed of the whole incident"

A frown. “It was unwise of the Baron to dictum our knight. That insult must be addressed.”

“At this time, we are as vulnerable as a truly new freehold. Silverwolf of Sun and dragon is in its infancy and can't be seen as weak.”

'"Agreed , but I still think a letter to the count is a crucial part of this.. not to wheedle for aid, but to DECLARE we must take action if none other will"

He nods. "It is a good opportunity to also declare that you are no figurehead nor retiring maiden - sent from Silverwolf but with your own seal?"

"I will have it be clear that you are Baroness not only in name."

"If you think it best" She says "I think perhaps you should talk to Gladiola"

He nods. "I will seek her out. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have been distracted by Mischka... she will whelp in the next few weeks."

"Oh, how is she?"

"Marvelous. She'll run with the pack until she decides it's time."

She can't help it, she leans over to look a Mischka

The large dog is larger than ever, her belly showing a distinct curve. Her tail wags just once - high praise from the proud matriarch of the pack.

"You brought into this world a daughter who has become my pride and delight, Mischka. So much that is good in her came from you"

At the mention of her daughter, her jaw lolls happily and she gives a shake, powdering the two sidhe with a coating of loose fur.

"Darling, I'm not Cruella. I don't wantt to be wearing your fur" A smile thouh and few gentle pets

Aiden smiles, he's long since known to wear older clothes to the kennels. "How are the mews progressing?"

"Blossom is takin well to it, and I am not the master of hawks Calathe is, obviously, l know the basics of each type and get them a fine workr out"

"Can we continue as such, or do we need a dedicated falconer for their care? If you feel it would be better for the birds, we may redistribute them to other mews. Having a mews of such quality is a feather in our Barony's cap, but I shan't have you overworked for this."

"I don't like folks saying we lost a top notch mews after I was made co ruler. I'll see what I can do"

"It is a shame that we cannot rely on Sir Sergei, but... understandable. If you think it wise, I can put our feelers for additional staff in that area."

She sighs "Pardon love. Let me see what I can do first"

He takes her hands, and lifts them to his mouth for a kiss. "There is no shame in hiring help. Either skilled workers, or simply trusted servants to take care of the simple work. A great privilege of being in charge... one I may have, perhaps, failed to utilize myself at times... is delegation."

"Mmm, do you know what Marigold said me the other day?' " Amusement at some notion

"Oh?"

"Thank you for making sure he sits down for dinner" Amused "How's that for delegation?"

A blink, and he laughs! "Did you know that Marigold actually was scolding me the other afternoon? Apparently she's had to let out some of my seams."

Not that the Baron is overweight by any means - can that even HAPPEN to Sidhe? But he has put on more healthy weight, and perhaps even a touch of muscle returning to his shoulders - ah, Nadeen can see it, a bit of a strain at a seam in these old clothes.

A purr "I did notice the shouders"

He wraps his arms around her. "Apparently you are good for my health and wellbeing... if anyone ever doubted otherwise."

A bark interrupts him, one of the 'Glennies'. Aiden sighs. "Yes, Ticker. I did tell you to remind me. I have calls scheduled this afternoon, and I will need to speak to Gladiola... did you know that this fine fellow has a mental clock that rivals a stopwatch, and not only for mealtimes?" Giving the scruffy male pooch a pat.

"Ticker? First muppet, now ticker?" Amused "No go on, extra bright eh?"

His cheeks flush just a touch as he protests, "Well, of course they have perfectly dignified kennel designations. But in the field, whether training, hunt, or battle, well, it is a long-standing tradition to give hounds a quick, simple call-name as well."

That touch of pink to his cheeks is rather delightful.

"I think it's a wonderful name, and fitting for a dog with such an internal clock"

"My lord? My lady? " Gwen's voice

A little bit of a longing look to Nadeen... but he straightens up, and is ready to do his duty. "Dame Gladiola. Your sense of timing rivals even our new pup here." Patting the proud looking terrier.

"Oh? I.. oh sorry," She blushes as she comes into see them together, "Yeah, Ticker part clock. My apologies. I thoughtI should tell you I was going to get a copy of a book made at Earth Runes. Sir Ivory is willing to help copy it for me, so I thought I thought I'd use the monday trod. I wanted to make sure I wasn't needed, or if there was something else you wanted me to do while I was in the area?"

"Do you have time to speak with me before you go?" Politely making it a request.

"YEs, lord" She says, but looks curious

"Is everything okay?" Gladiola asks curiously

"Not entirely, as I've been hearing. I understand there was a slight altercation with House Gwydion at Pennons?" A raised brow inviting her to share.

A wince "It was.. humilating, but it's settled now"

"Based on the version of the tale that I heard- some of the insult to our Barony was resolved.. but not all. Not, perhaps, the insult to your own self, Dame Gladiola."

A light blush "In..truth lord, I..was true to my Daireann nature. You see I... I used a part of my Pennon's bucks prize for the hold, but... I also spent the bulk for me. I arranged a chemical additive to a drink for the man who wronged me. You see, sidhe can't be made to look badly by cantrips. but it turns out a laxative still works, and if you make sure you time it right, say at a fancy dinner, where one might...go completely liquid , well, tiat's not a cantrip situation. THat's just natural excretion that comes on with little chance to get to the bathroom" A cough
