'His teeth ARE Sharp, itt's just.." She turns at the hiss.. and the knight's hand goes to her hilt "Careful"

"What's that?" She starts towards her scooter. "You leave Gertrude alone! She's mine!"

A fat, greyish... rodent?? puffs up a bit and hisses at her again!

"Oh dear lord, it's a Oposcorn"

"Hey.... hey, we're not gonna hurt you."

Lots of sharp teeth! Outnumbered, it… keels over on its side. DED.

Little legs all stiff! Horn not even glowing.

A never flies over to chime at it curiously.

A second never joins, and tugs at the naked tail.

A back leg kicks at the fairy. Shoo!!

A pause. A snort. A snerk of laughter!

The Nevers chime with laughter as they tease the poor tubby rode- er, marsupial.

Finally it rolls over and snorts, shaking rough grey fur.

"Okay, that's cute "

"Kinda. Kinda like glittery roadkill. But that's alright."

Snatching something off the ground, it scurries away into the brush.

Katrina’s side storage is open. Wasn’t that locked? Her Butterfingers is missing!

"Hey!"

"That little THIEF!"

"Did you get swindled by a pocket that picks?" Dee chuckles "That's hilarious"

She mumbles and grumbles some ear-melting curses about thieves and punishment, involving a small box, 3 LED light bulbs, and a Perry Como record.

“Shall we hunt it down??”

"It's gonna have possum bites in it. Gross."

A resigned sigh, and she closes the little storage compartment.

"What did it take, Thistle?"

“I’m sorry. I’m the one who wanted to stop for a meal.”

"I don't think you could have predicted this, Arthur" The satyr shakes he head

"Just a candy bar."

“I should have.” He retorts confidently.

And then looks a bit puzzled.

"We were headed to check out the library. You coming with, Goat legs?"

“The library! Right.”

"Sure thing , Rainbow Brite"

And onward to the library!

Or rather - to the library door.

CLOSED FOR REPAIRS

A notice details that there was a recent breakin and damage to the facilities, but they hope that the library will be open again to the public soon.

"Maybe they need volunteers to help clean up?"

'Hey guys, not like you picked this landing spot"

He blinks. She's RIGHT. It's that troll's fault!

"But I thought it was chimerical? The explosions?"

"It was blowing the books and papers all over... oh. Do you think the books were damaged?" A genuinely pained look.

"That would suck balls..."

"Well, if they need volunteers? Provided no one is too bannal... maybe?"

"Haven't fixed a book before." She considers. "Bet I could figure it out."

"Who could be banal at a library?"
